It’s been some time since The Division released and I have seen many hate posts on social media, groups etc. regarding the game. All these posts made me wonder, what was wrong with the game because of which it is getting this kind of hate. Is it the typical Ubisoft game hate? Or something else. This made me do some research, so that I can find the major reasons behind all this. The most common hate reasons are: The game was downgraded and the optimization is not good on PC. This is somewhat understandable since I’ve faced this even on my Titan X, which is not able to play the game on constant 60 fps on Ultra (I’m playing on high-ultra with 40+ FPS). Other than that there many other complaints such as the downgrade, since the game looked much better in E3 trailers. Which does no...
As August is nearing its end, Xbox owners are now starting to wonder what games Microsoft will offer for its Games with Gold members for the month of September. This might be just some sort of weird coincidence but it has been observed that Games with Gold list predictions posted on Xbox community forums often turn into reality. Like in July, Crimson Dragon for Xbox One and Dishonored for Xbox 360 did come out. Will predictions for September’s list turn out to be true? GameFaqs is a largely popular gaming community and is a platform that gamers usually consult with when anything gaming comes up. One of its users, named SNAKE0062, said in his September list predictions that “Battlefield 4 and Peggle 2” would come out if “Microsoft isn’t cheap.” “But...

Microsoft has revealed that the Xbox One is capable of both playing audio CDs and DLNA streaming, two distinct features which distinguish it from PlayStation 4 and possibly gives it an edge over the neck and neck competition between these two rivals of the gaming world. A Sony FAQ published regarding PlayStation 4 published that the PS4 lacked some music-related functionality — virtually, that it can’t play audio CDs or MP3s and lacks a music visualizer and DLNA support. Feedback from gamers about this issue has caused Sony to start “exploring possibilities” regarding this. These issues brought the Penny Arcade Report to ask Microsoft about whether these features are supported on Xbox One. Microsoft replied saying Xbox One will offer audio CD playback and DLNA comp...
Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin yesterday cleared a rumor about the comparative resolutions for Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. He did so on Twitter, by confirming the game is native 720p on Xbox One (upscaled to 1080p), while the PS4 version is native 1080p. “Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven’t had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we’re 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we’re native 1080p on PS4,” said Mark. “We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both,” he added. “Still on the road, but glad to see the great reception to Extinction. Can’t wait for next week’s launch.” Microsoft director of product planning Albert Penello sai...
Looks like it is true that the debut game, Titanfall will remain a Microsoft-platform exclusive. However the future of the franchise — once Respawn is no longer a “startup” — could possibly make its way to PS4. The studio head then said, “Of course we will [make PlayStation 4 games], just not the first Titanfall.” In the middle of today’s quarterly earnings call, EA squashed recent rumors about Titanfall coming to PlayStation 4. CFO Blake Jorgensen explained that Titanfall “is exclusive only for the lifetime of the title on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.” Jorgensen also assuaged worries that Respawn was rushing Titanfall to market, declaring the intended release date was always in the March, April, May time frame. “No, we’re no...
Select UK retailers are now offering a free copy of Forza Motorsport 5 on pre-ordering the Xbox Day One Edition Console to those gamers who prefer racing over their national sport. Back in August it was announced that FIFA 14 would be given free with Xbox One Day One Edition Consoles in Europe while UK gamers have an option of going with Forza 5 instead. While pre-orders have more or less become scarce in this region, corporate Vice President of marketing, strategy and business Yusuf Mehdi announced yesterday that additional pre-order SKUs had been squeezed in worldwide. Yesterday also happened to be the day when it was announced that a free copy of FIFA 14 was bundled up pre-orders on Xbox One Day One Edition Consoles in Australia. Source: IGN
The Xbox One design doesn’t really differ much from its predecessor’s. However Microsoft have really pushed the limits on their latest console, while keeping in mind the very important factor of reliability. A reliable source says that the console has been designed to run continuously for 10 years. And not only that, Microsoft have also kept in mind that while this device is designed to run for 10 years, it also needs to run silently enough, so that it is something one could keep in a living room. Its a hard combination to get right, so Microsoft went with a fairly large design which allows better heat dissipation. Although no official specifications have been declared, the Xbox One is approximately 34x26x8cm, which a considerably larger than the 360. Even though we got a prett...
