Popular Twitch streamer, JurassicJunkieLive was playing Outlast 2 live for his audience, when all of a sudden he gets a scare that even the game didn’t prepare him for. After having just crossed the section where Jake and Marta cross paths, JurrasicJunkie was catching his breath when his 2 year old daughter, Jessica, walks into the room. He couldn’t hear her because of having his headset on. She was carrying a bottle of Jack Daniels that her mother had got for her dad. She approached him and what happens next is hilarious: This clip is now the most watched clip on Twitch, and one can only hope that Jessica grows up to be a game developer making horror games. Golden Loot Boxes were one of the few things leaked when the anniversary event for Overwatch dropped a few weeks ago. The model and references to t were made within the game’s code, but no one knew for sure what they would do. Today, that veil was lifted, perhaps a bit early, thanks to Twitch Prime. As part of this month’s Loot for Twitch Prime members, the streaming giant gave out a “Golden Loot box” for Overwatch, which guarantees at least one legendary item. According to the description, these boxes will not contain seasonal event items. Having access to a Twitch Prime account, Gamerevolution confirmed that the code and the loot box worked immediately, even before Patch 1.12 dropped and even after Patch 1.12 has gone live with no mention of the Golden Loot Boxes,...

Sometime last year, Twitch, just like YouTube implemented censoring system that automatically scans and mutes sections of archived videos that have copyrighted audio. Twitch Music, is something that the company has come up with which aims to solve this very issue. “The Twitch Music Library was born to offer safe passage through the less-than-clear legal landscape when it comes to audio rights,” Twitch said. The library consists of more than 500, mostly EDM songs that have been pre-cleared from “established and burgeoning labels, including Mad Decent, Dim Mak, Spinnin’ Records, OWSLA, Monstercat, Fool’s Gold, and many more,” which Twitch broadcasters can use live and with VODs (past broadcasts/highlights). Artists also have the choice to submit their music to be used...

Twitch CEO, Emmett Shear, in a message addressed to the Twitch community, wrote, “We chose Amazon because they believe in our community, they share our values and long-term vision, and they want to help us get there faster. We’re keeping most everything the same: our office, our employees, our brand, and most importantly our independence. But with Amazon’s support we’ll have the resources to bring you an even better Twitch....
