Tekken 7 Release Date For Consoles Announced
Bandai Namco has finally revealed the release date for their next sidestepping 3D fighting title, Tekken 7. Originally scheduled to be released “early 2017″, the game now has a new launch date of 2nd June. Speaking to GameSpot during a press event in Tokyo last week, project leader Katsuhiro Harada said,”We were trying our best to get the game out at that time, to get it into the hands of users as early as possible. We saw some titles–some from our own company and some from others–which didn’t have a very good launch because of a lack of content, or whatever it was, that caused players to bash the product.” His team wanted to avoid the same fate, and decided to continue forward with its original content plan even if that meant the game would come a...
Tekken 7 Gets A New Action Packed Trailer
Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for their upcoming fighting game Tekken 7, showing off the new story and action. The newest edition addition to the Tekken franchise looks quite cool in the new trailer, although it mostly focuses on cinematics, with a small showcase of gameplay footage towards the end. Check out the trailer below. Earlier, the game got a trailer dedicated to Miguel, the rebellious bullfighter who made his debut in Tekken 6. Tekken 7 has been released for arcades in Japan for over a year now. It’s set to release for the Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in early 2017. Tekken 7 gets Saudi Arabian Character
We did hear some rumors about a Middle Eastern character being added to the Tekken 7 cast back in August 2014.Those rumors have been confirmed as Tekken Game Director and Chief Producer Katsuhiro Harada has revealed Shaheen. “If the Tekken fan community, especially those in the Middle Eastern area, end up liking this character, I would like to feature this character in the game,” Harada said in a post to the game’s Facebook page. “On the other hand, if this character is not received well by the Middle Eastern Tekken fan community members, there is a possibility that the character will be considerably changed or letting go of the idea of featuring this character in the game.” Feedback on Harada’s Facebook post remained fairly positive, and you can see tha...

This game has a special place in my heart. I’ve spent many hours in the video game shop next to my colony, jamming away at those red buttons and swinging that joystick from one side to the other. And to hear that the 3D Fighting game Tekken 7 is currently in development, it does more than just make my day. The game may be announced officially in the next couple of days at the EVO 2014 fighting game event taking place in Las Vegas this weekend, but this news leaked early. It first came out when a Tekken 7 logo flashed on one of the projection monitors at the event, and then with a video report from IGN posted to AOL.com.
