PS Plus Not Required To Play No Man’s Sky Online

No Man’s Sky sure can’t seem to get enough time in the news.  After being the target of a “stupid” lawsuit and multiple life threatening delays (literally), the game finally went gold this month. And even after that there was a claim where Hello Games was accused of a patent formula theft. However, fans continue to jump in joy as the game nears its August release. One big question that surrounded No Man’s Sky and its 18 tetra-hexa-zillion (who knows how many?) planets was that whether the game would have an online component, and whether the PS Plus Subscription would be needed to access it. It’s been known for a while that the game can easily be played offline as the vast world is not generated on server side, but in the game itself, but online access wi...

Universal Society of Hinduism Offended by Symmetra’s Overwatch Skin – OMG, Really?

Here we go again, someone is offended. This time, it is the Universal Society of Hinduism, whose President Rajan Zed is asking Blizzard to take down Symmetra’s new Devi skin from Overwatch, as it “trivializes Hinduism’s highly revered goddesses. Read his complete statement here. Rajan Zed said “that in a video game set-up, the player controlled the movements of Devi, while in reality the devotees put the destinies of themselves in the hands of their goddesses. Moreover, Devi and its movements depicted in Overwatch did not match with characterization of the goddesses in the scriptures.” Talk about shoving your religion down other people’s throats. Need we remind you that there is a game where you can actually play as different Gods? We’re talking ab...

Rocket Cars And Football, Because Why Not?! – Rocket League Collector’s Edition Review

A few years ago, if someone had said that you should play football with rocket fueled cars in a thunderdome style environment, they would’ve been quickly dismissed as a crazy, maybe psychotic person. But this is exactly what gave birth to something that almost everyone has come to love – Rocket League. The game has the players engulfed in a frenzy, and it’s hard to think of any reasons of why it shouldn’t. Psyonix’s new game on the block is a perfect blend of strategy and speed, requiring the players to make split-second decisions, while acrobatically flying across a football arena, trying to score against the opponents. The approach is pretty simple. You’re placed in a football field in a 1v1 / 2v2/ 4v4 match, and all you need to do is get past the defe...

Unplayable at Best: Homefront – The Revolution Quick Review (PS4)

Stutters, FPS drops, downright hanging – these are some of the best words that describe Homefront – The Revolution. Not to mention that the story is a drag as well. Don’t get me wrong, it has a novel approach towards first person shooters, but it fails to deliver at every step of the way. Homefront is about defending post-invasion America occupied by North Korean forces. In an alternate timeline, North Korea is the world’s biggest superpower, providing the US with all sorts of technological innovations. However, these come with a back door and one fine day, North Korea decides to shut all of it down, rendering the US defenseless. Cut to present day, where you play as Ethan Brady, a member of a resistance group rebelling against the KPA forces in the city of Philadel...
