We were really excited with the build-up to this game and we’re a bit let down with the fact that Thief is a game that fails to step into the shoes of its predecessor in some ways. It is a game that lands on your console full of potential, but loses its steam midway. There are good things about this game, and they bear mentioning. This is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic Thief series, which is given a lot of credit for inventing the modern stealth game. So all you guys who have love stealth games, you should be excited 🙂 A visual update has been made which makes the game look wonderful when it’s running, though we have not checked out the first version of the game since it was release quite a long time back. The movement of the main character Garret, looks and feels great, and he ...
The trials for the beta version of the game opened up to Xbox One players on February 15 before coming to PC, and had supposedly reached this milestone on February 19. Respawn engineer Jon Shiring said that the beta was quite crucial for field-testing Xbox Live Compute, Microsoft’s cloud computing service. “Forza used it a little bit, but they weren’t as reliant on it as we are,” he said. “The game is completely reliant on it. If it’s down, nobody can play.” The developer had identified about ten issues with the game during beta testing and had dealt with them all. But he also said that refining Titanfall will be an ongoing project. Titanfall will be released on Xbox One and PC on March 14 in Europe, March 11 in North America and late March ...

The PC/Mac version of Minecraft has now officially sold more than 13 million copies as of the 13th of this month. The game is for $26.95 per copy, but certain alpha and beta versions were for less, therefore calculating the precise lifetime revenue isn’t possible. They had sold over 12 million copies in the beginning of September and had sold around 11 million copies at the end of June. Writing on Twitter, creator Markus Persson said, “The original version of Minecraft has now passed 13 million copies sold. Despite being expectedly awful, the VGX awards did at least herald a new stampeded of gaming trailers and announcements. At the head of that pack was No Man’s Sky, which charged through the wilderness on the back of a procedurally generated spaceship. Telltale confidently filled out the herd with two new additions to their family: Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands. But by far the prettiest beast on show was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The prettiest, and the most on fire. Watch this brand new video showing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in action from the VGX Awards. Striking stuff. But a ship made from the claws of dead men? Er, guys, dead men don’t have claws. They have fingernails. Gross. Disgusting fingernail ships aside, The Witcher 3 is primed to be one of the most ex...
The patch for the PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield 4 was scheduled to arrive yesterday but has been delayed due to some more additional testing that needed to be done said DICE. “The PS4 game update that was originally meant to go live Dec. 3 is undergoing some additional testing and will be rescheduled for a later date,” DICE said on its forums. “We will get back with final details as soon as we have verification that the update is good to go.” The main aim of the patch, among some other issues, was the “one-shot kill bug,” where bullets were sometimes applying incorrect levels of damage to a character. The PC patch which was scheduled for yesterday remains on track, as do the updates for the Xbox One and PlayStation 3 versions of Battlefield 4. In ...
After a lot of talk about the fact that developers are unconcerned with PC optimization, Ubisoft has responded with a brief showcase of the design process behind games like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Contrary to reports in the media, Ubisoft designers are “PC fans,” according to a new post by Communications Manager Gary Steinman. Steinman, a former editor of PC Gamer, had additional comments from Ubisoft associate producer Sylvain Trottier, who he says was “re-quoted out of context” in the media with regard to the PC version of ACIV. Trottier feels there is some confusion about how and when PCs are pushed to their maximum during the development process. Before any optimization work begins, there is an earlier phase that is all about discovering where the...
