Halo: The Master Chief Collection Lockout Remaster
It’s been a while but definitely worth the wait as 343 industries release their first gameplay footage of the Xbox One Anniversary remaster edition of Lockout for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. In the video you get a glimpse of the new coat of paint looks. Also you get an insight into the new interactive element of the map–a block of ceiling mounted icicles you can shoot down and kill players with. Metro 2033 Creators say PS4 is more powerful
Chief technical officer for 4A Games, Oles Shishkovstov says that the developer behind the Metro series is working on an open world title. In a rather long interview with Eurogamer, Oles talks in great detail about programming for both of the current gen consoles and further explains how ongoing improvements to their toolsets will contribute to their next game. 4A Games and publishers Deep Publisher recently came out with updated versions of both of their games–Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. Dark Souls Free for Xbox Live Gold Members
Dark Souls is being offered as part of Xbox’s Games With Gold promotion, which is now celebrating its one-year anniversary by adding to the list an extra free Xbox 360 game to its usual allotment of two. The other games for June are Charlie Murder and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. Xbox Live Gold members now have the option of downloading Dark Souls (normally $20) for free until June 15. Then, on June 16, you’ll be able to download Charlie Murder (normally $10) and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition (normally $30) for free. Red Dead Redemption might have a PC version to it-rumour
The name ‘Red Dead Redemption’ seems to be found in this database maintained by Microsoft to help in determining application compatibility with its various operating systems. The listing was discovered yesterday by a GAFer and it shows the cover of the game with various compatibility statuses for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. After going through the FAQ section of the database, it seems that in order for a product to be compatible, Microsoft considers several aspects such as the product passing the Windows certification requirements and receiving a logo, something which appears to apply to Red Dead Redemption in this case. Xbox One to get a Sherlock Holmes game, plus some screens
Focus Home Interactive made it official that its upcoming Sherlock Holmes game,Crimes & Punishments, will come out on the Xbox One. This comes as news because the game was initially confirmed only for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. Created by Frogwares, developers of various Sherlock Holmes game for PC, Crimes & Punishments features Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson investigating crime scenes. Halo to become a TV series?
This is quite a surprise for many as Microsoft is currently in “deep” negotiations to bring the Halo live-action TV series to premium cable channel Showtime according to reports. Microsoft said that they were planning to join forces with Steven Spielberg for the show last year. Spielberg will act as executive producer, and he’ll be working with developer 343 Industries and Amblin Television. According to some reports, the plan is to have each episode air on Showtime first and then on Xbox which will have added interactive material. Apparently, these interactive elements (and Microsoft wanting to be careful with its prized property) caused delays. Variety says the companies are now close to a deal. Source: Gamespot
Deadlight now free on Xbox 360
Tequila Works’ 2012 survival horror zombie platformer game, Deadlight is up for grads for Xbox Live Gold subscribers for Xbox 360. This all is a part of Microsoft’s Games with Gold promotion, replacing Hitman: Absolution, which was free April 1-15. Microsoft’s Games with Gold promotion came into being last year during the company’s E3 media briefing. This program basically entails an offer that gives subscribers two free games per month to Xbox Live Gold ($60/year). Forza 5 becomes the fastest selling racing game in Xbox History
Microsoft announced that Forza 5 is the fastest-selling racing game in Xbox history. Stats indicate that more than one third of Xbox One owners have bought the Turn 10-developed racing game, which came out on the same day as the console. Microsoft has shipped 3.9m Xbox One units globally, so a third of that is about 1.3m in sales. This news came out when Turn 10 revealed Road America, the first track add on update for the game. It is free and will be automatically added to the Career events. The Road America booster pack includes five cars. Out today, it is a free bonus to Forza 5 Car Pass owners and, Microsoft said, is in addition to the six monthly DLC packs that Car Pass owners will get through to May 2014.
