The upcoming movie based on the Assassin’s Creed franchise has gotten a new trailer, and it seems like a recipe for disaster. The trailer shows off plenty of spectacular jumping and neck-stabbing action, where Michael Fassbender looks like a hardened criminal locked in jail. Not sure whether training him to kill in the ways of his 500 year old ancestors in the best idea in the world. However, it seems like Abstergo doesn’t have a problem with it (their funeral). In stark contrast to the Assassin’s Creed games, a majority of the movie will take place in the present rather than the past. Meaning, we can expect more of Fassbender rebelling against Abstergo instead of some Spanish Inquisition era assassinations. Actor Michael Fassbender had previously explained the reason beh...
Wow. This is a big one. A Hollywood production for an Assassin’s Creed Movie. For everyone who played the video-game because he dreamt of having Altaïr’s strength or Ezio’s stamina in real life, this is interesting news. The movie is very much in line with the series as the plot sees Marion Cotillard send Michael Fassbender back to the time of the Spanish Inquisition and alter the genetic memories left by an assassin ancestor. Get your switchblades ready 🙂
French actress Marion Cotillard has signed up for a role in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie. According to Deadline, Ubisoft and production company The New Regency still have to reveal her role in the movie. Cotillard and her co-star Michael Fassbender both acted together in an upcoming adaptation of Macbeth, which also happened to be directed by Justin Kurzel who is the director of the Assassin’s Creed Movie. Marion Cotillard is known for her role in The Dark Knight Rises, Inception and also for the Oscar winning role as singer Édith Piaf in 2007’s biopic La vie en Rose. Last week I posted an article about the movie officially entering its production stage. The movie, produced by New Regency and 20th Century Fox, will hit theaters on December 21, 2016.
Assassin’s Creed fans aren’t going to like this article at all, which annoyingly enough includes me. The upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie which stars Michael Fassbender will not come to theaters in August 2015 as expected. The movie has been rescheduled for a 2016 release according to The Hollywood Reporter. The source says that the movie’s scripts have gone through several rewrites and production wise have faces various scheduling issues. As we all know Fassbender is set to play the lead role in the film, which will be directed by Justin Kurzel. No other cast members have been announced, although there are rumors that Robert Downey Jr might be considered to feature in the movie too. Fassbender made it clear that he was never into playing video games and doesn’t own any sort of console. How...
Wouldn’t you think that the people making the ‘Assassin’s Creed’ movie would pick an actor who has at the least has played the game. Well, you’d be wrong if you thought so. Cause actor Michael Fassbender is all set to star in the Assassin’s Creed: The Movie, even though he has never played the game. In a recent interview the actor said that the roles in movies such as X-Men and Prometheus have given him the freedom to explore less commercial pieces. When asked about pre-production on the film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed, Fassbender said: “That’s definitely happening. We’re just developing the script at the moment. I’d heard of it but had never played the game. I don’t have a video game player … that’s not what they’re called. [Laughs] I met up with the guy...
