With the announcement of ARTIKA.1 by 4A Games, people thought that another Metro game would be ways away but then came E3 and 4A games dropped the bomb on us and announced Metro Exodus. 4A Games said that the game was kept top secret because they weren’t sure if it would be possible to make the game. New Metro Video Game Coming Out Next Year?
According to the website for Metro 2035 (the final book in the Metro series), the next title in the series may come out next year. The website has a timeline for the release dates of the Metro books and video games, and there seems to be a milestone for the next game in 2017. The description reads, “It all adds up to something. Where the books end their story, the game will pick it up. An era of great discoveries lies ahead.” This could mean that the game will pick up after the events of the last book, set to release this year. Metro 2033 Creators say PS4 is more powerful
Chief technical officer for 4A Games, Oles Shishkovstov says that the developer behind the Metro series is working on an open world title. In a rather long interview with Eurogamer, Oles talks in great detail about programming for both of the current gen consoles and further explains how ongoing improvements to their toolsets will contribute to their next game. 4A Games and publishers Deep Publisher recently came out with updated versions of both of their games–Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light.
