The whole GTA and modding community were in an uproar when the developer for OpenIV, a tool that allows you to mod GTA V announced that OpenIV would no longer be distributed due to Take-Two sending him a Cease and Desist letter. PC Gamer reached out to Rockstar regarding this matter and this was their statement. “Take-Two’s actions were not specifically targeting single player mods. Unfortunately OpenIV enables recent malicious mods that allow harassment of players and interfere with the GTA Online experience for everybody. A few months ago, the creators of GTA’s OpenIV modding tool revealed that they were working to bring Liberty City to GTA V. The city, as it appeared in GTA IV will exist alongside Los Santos and will only be a short plane ride away. The team behind the mod looks forward to a possible spring/summer release and has revealed new screenshots. You can check these out below.
