GTA 5 is the fastest selling entertainment property ever, according to Take-Two’s estimates. The game has brought in more than $1 billion in its first three days on store shelves, after selling more than $800 million on its first day. The Avengers film surpassed $1 billion in ticket sales ten days after its release in the U.S. and most other countries, according to Guinness World Records. A copy of GTA 5 costs significantly more than a movie ticket, of course, and cinema sales aren’t weighted nearly as heavily toward their first day as game sales. WWE2K14’s alternate cover to be decided by fans
The highly anticipated WWE’14 is just around the corner and 2K Sports has gone the extra mile by announcing a cover art contest for ‘WWE 2K14’. Other sports videos games have had fans vote for their favourite athletes to appear on the cover of their latest games. But 2K Sports is taking an extra step to include the community by allowing their entries a chance to appear on the inside of the game’s case which is scheduled to be released sometime in October this year. ‘The Rock’ has been declared as the game’s primary cover wrestler. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 a new DLC
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is ready with its next DLC on July 2 on Xbox Live, with PS3 and PC versions to follow. The Vengeance map pack includes new multiplayer maps Rush, Detour, Cove and Uplink, which is a remake of Summit from the original Black Ops. Buried, a new Zombies mode variant, will be included with Vengeance along with the Ray Gun Mark 2 weapon, available exclusively in Zombies mode.
