The Room 2 to unlock for iPhone
The Room 2 is going to be available for download on iPhone from today, i.e the 30th of January. The first version of the game had come out on the iPad which was launched sometime in December and was priced at £2.99. And Android users will have to wait as a launch is scheduled “on or before 14th February”, said developer Fireproof Studios. The Room 2 is a sequel to the studio’s original The Room, which had won the Best British Game BAFTA at last year’s awards. “Crafting a sequel to a bite-sized surprise hit is never easy,” Dan Whitehead said. “Fireproof has taken a conservative approach that avoids those pitfalls, but it hasn’t abandoned ambition in the process. New screenshots for Witcher 3
CD Projekt Red has revealed three new screenshots of The Witcher 3. The first picture show Geralt riding on a horse into what remained of a bloody battle, which also shows a headless corpse, face down in the mud. In the second picture you see Geralt exploring a typical Witcher city street, and happens to walk in on two thugs beating a victim. You can see his hands reaching for his sword, ready to step in. The final shot is of Geralt again on a horse around a swamp area, but isn’t the only one there. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is in development for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Announcing the Battlefield 4 Player Appreciation Month
Battlefield 4 developer DICE is launching a “Player Appreciation Month” running from 1st February to 6th March to give thanks to the hard working veterans who valiantly fought through Battlefield 4’s buggy launch. As such, Battlefield 4 players will receive such perks as a new Battlepack for every day they log in. These contain perks like bonus XP and soldier camos. Weekdays will net players bronze Battlepacks, while weekends come with niftier silver ones. Gold Battlepacks will be granted to those who fulfill Community Missions, like collecting a certain number of dog tags in a specified time. Respawn reveal that Titanfall Xbox 360 version is underway
After having confirmed that a Titanfall beta announcement for Xbox One and PC is coming soon, Respawn CEO and co-founder Vince Zampella stated that the studio that Bluepoint Games is the studio behind the Xbox 360 version of their game. Zampella wrote on Twitter: “The 360 version is being done by the amazing team at Bluepoint Games,” when asked about the 360 version of the game. That means that a 360 beta is still on the table but it seems likely that early access to the game will only be available for Xbox One and PC. Microsoft Studios acquires rights to Gears of War franchise
Microsoft already has the rights to the Halo series, and now it’s adding another blockbuster to its stable of franchises: Gears of War. The company announced today that it has acquired the rights for the series from developer Epic Games. While no new Gears of War games were announced, development for the series will be handled by Microsoft Studios’ Vancouver-based subsidiary Black Tusk Studios. Former series producer Rod Fergusson will be joining Black Tusk to “play a key studio leadership role” on the franchise. Titanfall collector’s edition box to fit a person
We all had an idea that the collector’s edition for Titanfall included a 18″ statue, which could mean that the statue needed to be assembled to reach that height. But that isn’t the case, Respawn co-founder and CEO Vince Zampalla posted a video on Instagram today showing off the box’s size, and it’s big enough to fit a person.
