Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin yesterday cleared a rumor about the comparative resolutions for Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. He did so on Twitter, by confirming the game is native 720p on Xbox One (upscaled to 1080p), while the PS4 version is native 1080p. “Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven’t had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we’re 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we’re native 1080p on PS4,” said Mark. “We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both,” he added. “Still on the road, but glad to see the great reception to Extinction. Even though the launch of ‘ Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s next DLC pack is coming out this week. Treyarch has decided to offer double XP in online matches this weekend on all consoles. And to add to that, Xbox 360 players will have access to a free trial of the game’s Uprising DLC for the weekend. The upcoming pack offers players four maps: Magma, Encore, Vertigo and Studio, including the Mob of the Dead zombies map set in Alcatraz. Activision have made an official announcement stating that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Apocalypse DLC is set to be released on the 26th of September on PC and PS3. Apocalypse is the fourth and final piece of downloadable content for Black Ops II which includes four additional maps. Two of them are new (Pod, set on a Cliffside in Taiwain, and Frost, set in a snow-covered European city) and the remaining two are based on previous Treyarch Call of Duty maps (Takeoff, based on Stadium from the original Black Ops and Dig, an updated version of Courtyard from World at War). Gamers waiting for a good multiplayer shooter game need not wait any longer. Infinity Ward are ready to debut the multiplayer mode for next generation shooter during Los Angeles event next month. An update in the official Call of Duty website said that Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer mode will be revealed in an event in Los Angeles on the 13th of August. Activision had earlier announced that multiplayer maps in this game will include dynamic elements such as floods, earthquakes, with player actions affecting the outcomes of these events. There will also be a character customization system in this multiplayer mode. Call of Duty: Ghosts launches November 5 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC. BYOC, Delhi offered endless gaming across 3 days and guess what we were there and here is our 2 cents about the event 🙂 Delhi witnessed one of the country’s largest gaming events on the 21st of June, the 18th edition of BYOC took place in Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden. This three day-long event allowed gamers to bring their own computers and participate in tournaments like Counter Strike 1.6 (Pro), Counter Strike 1.6 (Semi-Pro), Call of Duty 4, League of Legends, Counter Strike Global offensive and DOTA 2, FIFA 13 and Tekken. Apart from the yelling gamers, there were stalls set up by sponsors like NVIDIA, Asus, Cooler Master, WD and Red Bull to name a few.
