In a recent investor call, Andrew Wilson the CEO of EA confirmed that a new Battlefield game will be released in 2018. It’s not sure whether the game will feature the World War 1 setting in Battlefield 1 or if a more modern setting is being considered. In the investor call he also talked about other games that the DICE team was working on including Star Wars Battlefront 2. Battlefield 5 To Be Revealed By EA This May
And it’s official! EA will be revealing their new title in the Battlefield series, Battlefield 5 this May 6th 4 PM ET/9 PM BST. The world premiere is set to provide “a first look at the future of Battlefield”. The new title is set to be revealed via Twitch and the timer till the reveal can be found on the Battlefield event site itself . Later EA also stated that the stream will offer an “insight into the minds of the developers as you hear from the Creative Director Lars Gustavsson and Lead Producer Aleksander Grondal on the past, present and the future of Battlefield. You will be able to join in the conversation as we open the floor to questions from viewers.” Fans who sign up to become a ”Battlefield Insider” will be also given some “in-game items and exclusive content”...

The upcoming Battlefield 5 is reportedly going to be set in World War I, according to a Swiss retail site. The listing on Wog.ch claims that Battlefield 5, the next entry in the FPS series from developer Dice, will be released on October 26th on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but the most intriguing piece of information is that it will be a tactical shooter set in World War I. Since Battlefield 2 the mainline Battlefield series has focused solely on modern and futuristic military combat, with it never having tackled World War I before. Dan Vaderlind has confirmed that his next project is going to be the next Battlefield game, since Star Wars: Battlefront Project is concluded! This is actually not very surprising as a news, as the latest installment in the Battlefield series, Battlefield Hardline was managed by Visceral games. The last Battlefield game DICE developed was Battlefield 4 in late 2013. DICE also has Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, and the season pass of Star Wars: Battlefront as concurrent projects.However, it’s main project at the moment is the next Battlefield game.
