Assassin’s Creed Unity

Assassin’s Creed games will support Xbox 360 for now

“Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be another major entry in the franchise’s history,” said Ubi CEO Yves Guillemot in an investor call last night. “The game will showcase the city of Paris with amazing next-gen graphics and will incorporate great new innovations that will be revealed at E3. “The title will be released this fall on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. We have not disclosed our plan yet for the Xbox 360 and PS3 SKUs, however we have made it clear as a company that we will expect to continue supporting both consoles for the foreseeable future.” A secret, undisclosed plan, huh? Sounds interesting. There are rumours that, alongside development of Unity, Ubi is working on a separate game, code-named Comet, for both last gen consoles. Apparently, it’s ...

Assassin’s Creed Unity to feature a four player co-op mode

Assassin’s Creed Unity, which is set to come out on the Xbox One and PS4 and PC sometime later this year is expected to include a cooperative mode for up to four players according to a report. This information was given by tweets sent out by former NeGAF poster shinobi602, who showed that two demos for Unity are planned for E3 in June. Assassins Creed Unity to be set during the French Revolution

The confirmation comes via the trailer below, which offers no sense of characters, gameplay revisions, or how the current day setting that frames the games factors in. The earlier leak also claimed that there will actually be two AC games this year, released for different console generations. We know that Unity will be on the newer hardware and PC, while a rumored separate game, known by the reported codename “Assassin’s Creed: Comet,” could be released for...

Assassin’s Creed 2014 most likely to be set in Paris on Xbox One and PS4

Some leaked images from Kotaku suggest that this year’s Assassin’s Creed will be set in 18th century Paris. The Paris-set screenshots which were obtained from an anonymous source were of an ‘early-in-development’ version of the game. It features Notre Dame and the Seine river in the background. For now the game is dubbed Unity, though it is not clear if this is the actual title or just a codename. The word around is that this year’s Assassin’s Creed will take place during the French Revolution and feature a new protagonist named Arno. The leaked images also suggest a new feature – ‘parkour up’ and ‘parkour down’ which have buttons mapped for them. Source: Martin Gaston
