So what started off as “I don’t really like Football games, but lets give this a shot if you (Nikhill Michigan) insist” has turned into a manic rush for Rocket League every evening after work. The game is f@*king fun. Of course, some of the enjoyment may be attributed to being stoned off the wall. I’m just kidding. Kids, say ‘No’ to drugs and then say ‘No’ to drugs again.
Anyways, back to Rocket League, it’s surprising no one ever made this game before. It’s damn obvious really. Football and cars. You can’t go wrong with that! And Psyonix didn’t go wrong. Packed with arcade action, spread over short matches played between small teams of 2 to 4, Rocket League managed to draw in even a football-skeptic like me.
Never have i enjoyed FIFA (no offense those who do, even though my silent judgement looms upon you), but the fast action gameplay and quick reward system with an over-the-top visual theme won me over. Oh, and also the noob-proof control scheme too. I could never bring myself to learn all the controls in other sports simulators. The easy and minimalist controls in Rocket League got me doing pretty well in game.
Oh, and it helps of you have a friend to play with, rather than playing with bots. So yeah, go make friends. Anyways, Rocket League is a bloody good game. Go play it. Or not. Like I care. I’m having too much fun already.
