RGB lighting has become a staple these days, especially when it comes to gaming accessories. Following the trend, Corsair has taken its wireless headsets to the next level by introducing the VOID RGB Gaming Headset.
With a 2.4 GHz USB wireless transmitter, the VOID RGB boasts a range of about 40 ft. It also offers 7.1 Dolby Surround Sound experience, making it a premium device that can incredibly enhance your gaming and entertainment.

The first thing that stands out about the headset is perhaps its looks. The ear cups are more rhomboidal in shape than circular, which may look a little odd to some people. But rest assured, they fit pretty well. The metal hinges and the whole black and yellow colour scheme gives it more of a Bumblebee-esque vibe, if you ask me. And I love it.
The VOID RGB is quite heavy, heavier than its other wireless counterparts. Most of it can be attributed to the wireless setup and the battery, and the headset might have a small chance of slipping when you tilt your head forward. But the headband rests a little front on the face, so that helps to offset the weight a little bit.
The battery claims to last about 16 hours of gaming and media, which is quite impressive. With the RGB lighting on the headset lasts about 12-12.5 hours on full charge, so with it off you can surely touch 14-15 hours at least. In any case, it can last you one whole day of gaming, unless you plan to play for 24 hours at a stretch.
As mentioned earlier, the headset comes with RGB lighting. It looks pretty kickass, as the RGB isn’t very dominant over the scheme of the headset, but still provides it a great look. Talking about sound quality, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get better than this in the price range. Explosions are impactful, bullets can easily be perceived and footsteps sound very clear. Sound effects are very crisp and make your games highly immersive.
The only downside about the Corsair VOID RGB is perhaps the microphone. Though it works well for communicating with your teammates in online multiplayer, it does’t live up to the expectations when you want to record something. There mic is not detachable, and comes with two LED indicators. But these are so small and out of the sight that it actually renders them insignificant.
If you absolutely need to get a wireless headset, this is the best you can get without spending any more money. The Corsair VOID RGB Gaming Headset with 7.1 Surround Sound is the top in class in its range, and can definitely take your gaming to the next level.
