At Oculus Connect, the company announced that the Oculus Touch, the controllers for Oculus Rift will be available starting 6th December for a price of USD 199.
The controller bundle comes with two games, The Unspoken and VR Sports Challenge, along with a secondary camera that can be put by the users in the play area. A third sensor, which will allow the controllers to room-scale will also be released along with the launch of Oculus Touch, for USD 79. Other titles will also be released for the Touch controllers, including games like Lone Echo and Arktika.
Oculus also revealed a VR headset for which any external tracking will not be required. Additionally, they previewed a new VR browser, called Carmel. As the company claims, the browser can run on any VR headset.
The Touch controllers, along with the third sensor bring the cost of the Oculus Rift to about USD 880. For comparison, the HTC Vive currently costs about USD 800.
