For those who thought NVIDIA was done with the 10-series GPUs, think again. The company has added yet another member to its Pascal family of graphic cards, the budget friendly GT 1030.
Note that the new card is GT, and not GTX, something that hasn’t been seen since the 700-series. We can safely assume that this GPU won’t be topping the charts any day, but for those on a strict budget, it could be a boon. The GT 1030 is powered by 384 CUDA cores and comes with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM. Boasting a boost clock speed of 1468 MHz, it supports resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 @ 60Hz. The reference design by NVIDIA includes a DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b and a dual link DVI port, but the final options may vary depending on the manufacturer.
Zotac’s version of the GT 1030 is listed for INR 7000 (on Amazon), which means it could be a decent upgrade to the integrated graphics for those who can’t afford a high-end gaming experience. This makes it ideal for e-sports enthusiasts. But if you like playing something a little more graphic-intensive, you might want to bump your budget up to at least a GTX 1050 or the RX 560.
