Halo 5 Guardians won’t allow players to vote on or veto upcoming maps when participating in multiplayer playlists.
The news comes direct from 343 Industries studio head Josh Holmes, responding to a question on Twitter.
@GDO_TWITS No voting or veto, just straight rotation.

It’s kind of interesting to see this fairly standard feature being passed over in so many games – Destiny doesn’t have it either, for example. What’s the deal?
On the one hand it’s annoying to have to play a map you dislike, and I feel like map voting gives designers an idea of what’s working and what’s not. On the other hand it can be super boring playing the same map over and over again because your matchmade opponents only like the one. Swings and roundabouts.
Anyway, Halo 5 launches exclusively for Xbox One on October 27.
