This wouldn’t be the first time something like this has happened, but yet another ad campaign seems to have ripped off someone else’s art, and quite blatantly too. The video in question is the ad for Taylor Swift Tix, which seems to have “borrowed” heavily from Night In The Woods, one of the biggest indie games of this year. Take a look at the video below:
And now here’s the trailer for Night in the Woods:
Notice any similarities? Even the creators did. So much so, that Scott Benson, the co-creator of the game tweeted the following post:

Fortunately the team behind the game seems to be taking this humorously. When asked “Is this another ‘marketing campaign steals an art style of something else with no credit’ situation? Like what happened with Firewatch.”, Benson replied: “nah i think this is well within the bounds of “fond reference”. it’s all good.”
We aren’t exactly sure of what to make of it, but it seems like the Night in the Woods team should have at least gotten credit for their art style. Oh well. But we’d me amiss if we didn’t use this opportunity to recommend the game to you guys. It’s a game about exploration with a great story and memorable character, and frankly, one of the best indie titles we’ve tried this year. Make sure you don’t miss out!
