EA has confirmed that its FIFA title in the works for the Nintendo Switch is not FIFA 17, but FIFA 18.
Speaking to GameReactor, Chief Operating Officer Peter Moore said, “We are custom-building a FIFA version for the Nintendo Switch. It will be FIFA 18, and it will obviously be later this year when FIFA 18 comes out.” When asked whether this version will be closer to the PS 4/Xbox One or the PS 3/Xbox 360 one, Moore replied, “What you have will be a custom-built version for the Nintendo Switch from the FIFA development team in Vancouver.”
Talking about FIFA 18, EA CEO Andrew Wilson had recently said that the game will build on the foundation they created in the Story Mode in FIFA 17, bringing back the Journey with a second season, featuring new characters and storylines. For those who don’t know, The Journey was FIFA 17’s story driven mode that follow the life of a young football player known as Alex Hunter. You can read our review of the game here.
