CS:GO Players Banned Mid-Qualifier For Cheating

The open qualifiers for the upcoming Eleague Boston Major are going on, and it seems like the issues keep popping one after another. A number of players have been banned for cheating in-game during the match, making use of third-party cheating softwares.

In the clip below, you can see in the chat log as a player in banned mid-game for cheating:

In another incident, a team by the name of Invictus Aquilas loses one of their players due to being banned mid-round. The team is currently contesting the ban, though some other clips have also surfaced, questioning the credibility.

In a third case (how many are there, seriously?), a player posted on Twitter, complaining about the opposing team who was allegedly using a hack that let them see through walls. The cheating player was banned later, mid-game.

It doesn’t end here. In addition to the cheating, players are also complaining about technical issues, poor seeding and lack of response from the admins. The qualifiers are for the Eleague Majors, but a tournament organiser CEVO is managing it and hence, taking a lot of the heat. They have been trying to get ahead of things, but it’s hard to say how things are going to turn out in the wake of these events.
