You know if you think about it, gaming is quite an expensive pass time. For a console gamer it has to be the high price of a game and for a PC gamer it is perhaps building a rig. Although many are of the opinion that in the long run PC’s are easier on your wallet than a console. But if you attend events like BYOC you’ll know that there some that go to extremes to prove that theirs is the ultimate gaming rig. One of the most important components to a PC gamer is the cabinet in which their rig resides. A cabinet is to the rig what the body of a car is to the engine. It compliments each, well not necessarily but then you wouldn’t want a Ferrari engine in a Maruti 800 right? Anyway, Corsair has a bunch of cabinets that are easy on the eyes and also your wallet. A line-up of three pretty...
The game has left me a little confused on exactly where to place it in terms of a review. It is very detailed and expansive playground for a racing game in the past few years. There is the free roam option which allows you to explore every highway, dirt track and city clock with your friends—that should pretty much do it right? But then there’s the fact that it’s always-online, plot driven game in which you assume the role of a street racer as an undercover cop. Gameplay The game starts with a decently long prologue which somehow ticks off the entire Fast and Furious and NFS great driving checklist, so you’ve got the regulars like illegal racing gangs, electronic music blasting through your stereo, you’ve obviously got the cops behind you and you have a score to settle. You are then...
Far Cry 4 has been the most awaited game this year for lots of reasons. One being the fact that it has a lot to relate to India more specifically Nepal/Bhutan. So as you start the game hidden in the towering Himalayas lies a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale, returning to the country of your birth, the lush forests and harsh snow-capped summits of Kyrat, to fulfill your mother’s dying wish of spreading her ashes. This vast and unpredictable country offers visitors opportunity and danger. You quickly find yourself embroiled in a rebellion to overthrow the oppressive regime of Pagan Min, a figure known as much for his sense of style and charisma as for his cruelty and naked brutality. Navigating the treacherous landscape, you find your fate increasingly determine...
PES and FIFA have this long standing rivalry of competing for the title of the best football game. Every year EA Sports and Konami go head to head and try to bring out the best version of the game. FIFA always had the modes and the teams while PES had the fast gameplay with those amazing replays. Konami took its eye of the ball for a bit, but now have stepped up their game and taken the fight right to EA’s doorstep. Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 sees Konami’s version of the game back on track and better looking than ever. Gameplay If you’ve played both the games over the years you might know that a majority of people would say that FIFA was the clear winner for many of the years and not all of Konami’s efforts resulted in success. But it no longer feels like PES is fighting a battle it can’t ...
After bringing home the goods in the form of Black Flag, Ubisoft must have thought long and hard to think of an historical event that would fit right into their never ending Assassin versus Templar battle. Let’s be honest, after exploring the Caribbean with Edward Kenway , it was never going to be easy at all for them to produce something that was going to even come close to the ranks of Black Flag. But as you’ve probably seen through trailers and images, they’ve done a damn good job in making a beautiful recreation of Paris. And an open world sandbox that is so rich and dense that I felt there wasn’t enough time to explore everything the game has to offer. The game has gone back to proper stealth based assassinations, while free running is taken to new levels with slick rooftop traversal...
Introduction This time we test the more budget oriented Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 SOC gaming graphics card. This card however has one 6 and one 8-pin power feed but then again, does come with a WindForce cooler. The G1 Gaming has 4 GB graphics memory, is energy efficient and factory overclocked for you. We all want a beast of a gaming rigsince PC gaming as an experience is just so much better than anything else out there. The Maxwell family of GPUs are the 10th generation architecture for NVIDIA with several design goals in mind (higher performa...
Note: Guys, if you want to grab some cool MSI merchandise then subscribe to our YouTube channel and tell us what you liked about the laptop and why in the comments. Introduction: As MSI re-launches its latest line of gaming laptops in India, there are lofty expectations from gamers. This is so since MSI has repeatedly shown a knack for producing gaming laptops that are well received by the target audience, and a quick glance at the GS60’s credentials suggest we have another crowd pleaser. MSI’s GS60 is a 15.6in machine that attempts to deliver the best of two worlds: it’s thin enough to pass as an Ultrabook, yet with a quad-core Intel processor and dedicated Nvidia GeForce 800-series graphics, it’s also powerful enough to qualify as a potent 1080p gaming PC. That’s why we...
So I managed to get my hands on one of the coolest gaming merchandise that is floating around. Ubicollectibles has really outdone themselves with this figurine. “Arno: The Fearless Assassin” is a new collector’s piece inspired by the next chapter of the Ubisoft franchise namely, Assassin’s Creed Unity. We’ve got a contest for you guys in case you wanted to grab one of these for yourselves. Watch the video below to know what you need to do! Overview The figurine portrays Arno at the foot of the barricades. In a rather eloquent but deadly pose, you can see Arno pointing his sword out to enemies and concealing a gun in the other to surprise his foes. Also added in the box is an additional digital content which can be used in the game. Its a c...
AMD’s latest graphics card, the Radeon R9 285, uses a brand-new core, dubbed Tonga. The R9 285 is designed to replace the R9 280 as well as bring the fight to Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 760, and it should play every game at 1080p and 1440p – although 4K will likely be beyond its abilities. AMD Radeon R9 285: Under the Hood The R9 285 is the only card to currently use the Tonga core. It’s a mid-range core, but it shares a crucial part of its architecture with AMD’s high-end 290-series parts, with the 1,792 stream processors split into a quartet of shader engines. That means the R9 285 has double the engines of the 280 it replaces – a move that should improve performance in a host of areas, from geometric and tessellation performance to general compute tasks. Tonga’s high-end DNA bodes well for ga...
So I’ve been using the Razer Kraken for about two weeks now and I’ve got to say that I’m pretty impressed with the product. As a drummer I tend to turn up the bass a bit more than usual as I like the feel of a kick drum. I don’t know, but I get into the beat quicker and it helps me get my groove on. Or maybe simply cause I like extra bass. Anywayyyyy, once you have one of these wrapped around your head and you turn up the volume, the vibrations on your ears feel pretty insane. However this comes at the cost of draining out the highs and mids slightly. Design Once you get one of these headphones you’ll realize how thick the headband really is. And from the looks of it, it looks like something that will weigh quite a bit but doesn’t actually. Its a bit wei...
Always trying to improve yearly production of sport video games isn’t the easiest of jobs. There are obvious things like new players that you can add every year but that does only a small portion of what the game actually is and can offer. It amazes me how year after year EA Sports seem to surpass all expectations when it comes to topping themselves and improving the game in ways sometimes we can’t even imagine. I read somewhere that FIFA is like the Coldplay of games, and I have to quite agree with that. What does FIFA have that appeals to so many? It would have to be in its simplicity; it has the potential to produce something that is inoffensive as well as appeal to many and only manage to repel a few, in the same way it is hard to find someone who doesn’t like Chris Martin, right...
The original Sleeping Dogs came out back 2012 on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Went through the game and seemed to have enjoyed it quite a bit. This game doesn’t get the credit it deserves as it features a fantastic location, Batman: Arkham combat styles, sharp writing and just a style of its own that can be found in no other. Essentially Sleeping Dogs took from Grand Theft Auto’s design all the right places and expanded on it with more attention. Gameplay Subtle tweaks to the open world mechanics make this game a real joy to play. Combating techniques are pretty awesome in this game. It’s not just your regular punch a guy till he gives up. The main character, Wei Shen, uses combos to defend and get through the levels. You can block and parry enemies and also grab hold of them and chuck them i...
