Electronic sports (or esports) is a term for organized video game competitions, especially between professionals. The most common video game genres associated with electronic sports are real-time strategy, fighting, first-person shooter, and multiplayer online battle arena. Tournaments such as the World Cyber Games, the Evolution Championship Series, and the Intel Extreme Masters provide both live broadcasts of the competition, and cash prizes to competitors.
Riot games increases disciplinary measures for League of Legends
Riot games is moving things up this year when it comes to more hostile elements purging League of Legends. The studio has come up with a new approach to competitive bans. The whole idea of permaban had been done away with for two categories of bans: fixed and indefinite. The former is a ban which last for a period of two splits. which is a full competitive season. Once these fixed periods expire they will be reviewed individually. On the other hand, indefinite bans require the player to “meet the highest standard of conduct over a sufficient period of time to be permitted back into the League.” These type of bans last for a minimum of one competitive season. Hey Gamers! Our friends at Cooler Master recently held the Dota 2 All Star League held in Bangalore. The league started on the 1’st of February and came to an grand end on the 23’rd of March. A total of 20 teams registered for the All Star League, so began the qualifier rounds.
