Gamescom was a blast this year, with amazing reveals and announcements one after the other. As a PC gamer I’m extremely happy to see some of the biggest console releases coming to the PC soon. Without further ado, we present our top picks from the games announced at Gamescom 2017.
Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition
Lo and behold! We knew this was going to happen, and now we know when. The epic fantasy RPG by Square Enix will make its way to Windows via Steam in 2018. It comes with all the DLC content, AND a bunch of extra NVIDIA stuff. Also, did I mention that you’ll be able to play the game in glorious 4K? Well, if you have a GTX 1080Ti, that is. But I’m still pretty excited. Honestly, it’sd hard not to be.
Biomutant
You play as a kung-fu master raccoon in this open world adventure, with incredible, lush environments where you can jet ski and hand glide you way around. Need I say more? The game is being developed by Experiment 101 studios and will be published by THQ Nordic and is expected to release sometime next year.
Jurassic World Evolution
Now, this may not exactly be what I would want from a Jurassic Park game, but building a dinosaur themed park of your own could have its charm. Especially if you have to deal with a monstrous, eat-everything-in-my-way T-Rex everyday. Who wouldn’t want to sign up for that? Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2018.
Age of Empires IV
It’s been ten whole years since we saw a new game in the Age of Empires franchise. In addition to remastering the original AoE in a definitive edition, Microsoft is also adding another game to its RTS bag. The best part? It’s being made by Relic, who have given us amazing titles like Dawn of War and Company of Heroes.
Fe
Now this isn’t exactly a new announcement, but we haven’t seen much of this amazing looking game since last year’s E3 event. In the words of the developer, it is “a new type of wordless platformer full of sounds.” Not to mention the world look vibrantly jaw-dropping and outright gorgeous. Can’t wait to get my hands on this!
