So while a lot of us have love the Batman Arkham Series, but Batman Arkham Origins did falter at a lot of places. So Rocksteady Games is back again in the drivers seat with a new sequel and the grand finals to the series with Batman Arkham Knight.
Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. The game introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile—drivable for the first time in the franchise. Batman: Arkham Knight offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.
As expected Game Informer has the official announcement, confirming details – including the fact that the game is next gen only and out this year. The game is set one year after the events of Arkham City and Batman is seems to be at ‘the peak of his powers’. A proper gameplay video is expected today, but in the teaser on Game Informer’s features an open world Gotham City with a driveable Batmobile.
Yesss!!! The Batmobile is finally a core element of the gameplay. An entirely new area of Gotham City, far larger than Arkham City, has much wider streets to accommodate the new driving gameplay that is designed to integrate smoothly with Batman’s gliding and grappling traversal. Batman chases down super villains Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, and more.
Arkham Knight is slated to release later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
