Sony seem to have found a director who they think can somewhat of a daunting task of converting Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear series on to the big screen.
Reports are out that the studio is in talks with director Jordan Vogt-Roberts to take charge of the movie as director, which will be produced by Avi Arad. Vogt-Robert hinted via Twitter that he was involved in the production around the end of last month.
Vogt-Roberts is best known for his movie The Kings of Summer which brought him to the forefront of the movie business. If these talks go well and he decides to head the project, Metal Gear would be his first studio production.
The Metal Gear movie was announced a while back in August 2012, and haven’t really heard much about it since. Deadline reports that it’s taken a while to get the studio and Kojima on the same page regarding the direction of the flick. A lot of games are taking to the big screens these days especially with eyes on the Assassin’s Creed movie featuring Michael Fassbender. We’ll let you’ll know once we hear anything about it….pakka!
