With its beta complete, the long awaited Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod, JC2-MP, is now out for download through Steam.
Modders have sure taken their own sweet time on this, considering the game was released in March 2010. However, the result is a free download for anyone who owns Just Cause 2 on PC — console versions aren’t supported. The base game is currently on sale on Steam until December 19 for $2.99, a pretty insane deal for a game which showed a lot of promise as a single-player-only title.
As seen in the trailer above, the mod allows for hundreds of players to ‘hang out’ in Panau together while still being able to enjoy the same kind of action a single player is exposed to. DLC support is handled on a per-server basis, and support for LAN servers is included for those who want to play locally with friends.
