The first chapter of King’s Quest: A Knight to Remember will launch next month. The game, the first in a planned series of five releases, will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3 on July 29 as a digital download. PC Games will be able to get their hands on King’s Quest on July 28.
The King’s Quest series was first released in 1984, with the series following the Kingdom of Daventry’s Royal Family over multiple generations.
In A Knight to Remember King Graham shares his tales of his adventures, including the time he fought a dragon and his of his life before becoming a knight, to his granddaughter Gwendolyn which in turn influence her in the present.
The latest version is effectively a reboot of the series, although labeled a reimagining, has been developed by LA-based The Odd Gentlemen. A Knight to Remember will remain an adventure game but will no longer be ‘point-and-click’.
Pre-orders of the five chapter bundle, as well as a bonus story epilogue, are available now on Playstation Network and Steam – Xbox pre-orders will be available from July 7.
