Oculus says these are the recommended specs “for the full Rift experience”:
NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD 290 equivalent or greater
Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater
8GB+ RAM
Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output
2x USB 3.0 ports
Windows 7 SP1 or newer
A build like this would roughly cost you about 51000 rs. Not too shabby a cost for a rig that would be able to run full 3D immersive visuals. Sorry console buddies, only PC Master Race for now. But seriously though it isn’t too bad, if anything it’s good news that the Oculus Rift is able to run in a rig of that price.
Some of you guys might also be wondering, “What about plugging the Oculus Rift into a laptop?”
Unfortunately, we’ve nothing but bad news for you at the moment:
“Almost no current laptops have the GPU performance for the recommended spec” says the Oculus‘ Chief Architect.
