There is a new trailer out for the upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat X that features the story-line of the game along with showcasing more playable characters.
NetherRealm has confirmed that the story of Mortal Kombat X is set 25 years after the events of 2011’s Mortal Kombat. Players will take on Mileena and her Outworld rebel army. This is the first time NetherRealm has said anything about what to expect in terms of narrative.
The trailer does feature 3 new characters for Mortal Kombat X which is as follows
- Jacqueline Briggs (daughter of Jax)
- Takashi Takeda (son of Kenshi)
- Kung Jin (descendant of Kung Lao)
In related news, NetherRealm also announced that Brutalities—the hyper-violent finishing moves featured in previous games—will make a comeback for the new title.
Mortal Kombat X releases on the 14th of April for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC.
