Nintendo has announced that the next major title in their tactical RPG series Fire Emblem will be for the Switch, marking the return of the game to home consoles after almost a decade.
The announcement was made at Fire Emblem Direct, and doesn’t give a whole lot of information about the game. What it does tell us, though, is that the new game will have yet another full scale war, and will be a true home console experience at heart. After the Switch’s lukewarm reception, thanks to the underwhelming line-up of launch titles, this provides some solace, at least to the fans of Fire Emblem franchise. The game is said to release sometime in 2018.
