Warhammer Vermintide 2: Winds of Magic – Review

Warhammer Vermintide 2: Winds of Magic is a much awaited expansion to Vermintide 2. As expansions go, the game setup mostly remains the same with new missions added and new enemies to kill with ones giant warhammer. The addition of new kinds of enemies in Winds of Magic was a much needed addition, bringing more variety to the Vermintide universe. The strongly separated main game and endgame, makes, you focus on the development of multiple different characters, rather than focusing on just one character. The expansion offers more variety to the base games and more flexibility to the RPG elements. 

The game also offers a chance to play with friends through a new weave system which is really fun to try out. The new mastery system and fusion systems are all great add ons to the base games and make the game a lot more exciting than the base game.

About:

The first expansion for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 brings a brand new enemy faction and new challenges to the game. As a meteor crashes down in the Reikland, Beastmen emerge from the depths of the Reikwald forest and rush to the epicenter to claim it as a Herdstone. It is up to the five heroes to stop them before a dreadful disaster strikes the Empire.

    The winds of magic are made up of different “weaves” and will be a combination of:
    – Map: A chunk of an existing adventure map.
    – Wind: The different Winds of Magic will affect and modify the map.
    – Objective: Each map will have a specific objective for players to complete.
    – Finale: If the objective is completed the players will face the final challenge.
    – Difficulty: As players progress the difficulty will increase.
