Upcoming Games of the Month – January 2018

The new year is here, and while gaming in 2018 doesn’t start with a big bang like last year, it doesn’t mean we don’t have any good stuff coming up. Most of the games coming out in January 2018 are on the consoles, so PC fans will have to wait a little bit longer before they get their hands on something big. Here are the games you can look forward to this month:

1. Street Fighter V Arcade Edition

  • Release Date: 16th January
  • Platform: PC and PlayStation 4

3To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Street Fighter, you can enjoy the story paths of 6 SF games. There’s an ending comic panel for each character in each path. Of course, you can turn on Fight Request while taking on Arcade Mode as well!

2. Gintama Rumble

  • Release Date: 18th January
  • Platform: PlayStation 4

Gintama Rumble is a hack n’ slash video game created by Bandai Namco Entertainment for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. This game will feature all most important aired arcs within anime adaption, such as Benizakura ArcFarewell, Shinsengumi Arc, .etc.

3. Death Mark

  • Release Date: 19th January
  • Platform: Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4

The PlayStation 4 and Switch versions of Death Mark will feature new elements, including high-resolution graphics, additional episode(s), and an “Event Gallery.”

4. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory

  • Release Date: 19th January
  • Platform: PlayStation 4 and Vita

Return to the digital world of Cyberspace Eden in a follow-up to 2016’s sleeper success Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – a turn-based action RPG based on the classic Digimon TV series. In a story set before the events of DIgimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, jump into the shoes of Keisuke Amazawa – a teenage boy caught up in a case of stolen identity, forced to join-up with a band of clandestine hackers in a bid to clear his name.

5. Kirby Battle Royale

  • Release Date: 19th January
  • Platform: Nintendo 3DS

6. Lost Sphear

  • Release Date: 23rd January
  • Platform: PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4

7. The Inpatient

  • Release Date: 23rd January
  • Platform: PlayStation VR

8. Dragon Ball FighterZ

  • Release Date: 26th January
  • Platform: PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4

9. Monster Hunter: World

  • Release Date: 26th January
  • Platform: Xbox One and PlayStation 4

As a hunter, you’ll take on quests to hunt monsters in a variety of habitats. Take down these monsters and receive materials that you can use to create stronger weapons and armor in order to hunt even more dangerous monsters.

10. Railway Empire

  • Release Date: 26th January
  • Platform: PC

In Railway Empire, you will create an elaborate and wide-ranging rail network, purchase over 40 different trains modelled in extraordinary detail, and buy or build railway stations, maintenance buildings, factories and tourist attractions to keep your travel network ahead of the competition.

11. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

  • Release Date: 30th January
  • Platform: PlayStation 4

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a fighting game with action role-playing elements developed by Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4.
