Ubisoft Is Bringing Back The Division In A Big Way

The Division launched with much fanfare, and while I personally enjoyed my time with it, after a time it got highly repetitive and grindy. Many other players also felt the same and the game fell off the grid for quite a while. However, Ubisoft is now set to bring the game back in a major way with the latest update, called Update 1.4, bringing in key changes to how the game plays, and addressing many of the issues players had with the end game in The Division.

Update 1.4 for Tom Clancy’s The Division makes changes to the enemy and the ‘Time to Kill. The central focus of this update is World Tiers where players can opt in to fight against tougher enemies for greater rewards. The update also rebalances the weapons, and PvP elements of the game, making the game a lot more appealing and playable for lower level players.

Speaking to Kotaku, here’s what Cristian Pana, the Producer at UUbisoft Massive, had to say:

“With update 1.4, we have created a fun end game for everyone with a clear and granular progression whether you play solo or in a group. Any activity has a chance of rewarding you with the best weapons and equipment so you can play more of the activities you like and progress at your own pace. Actually, with the field proficiency, just gathering experience points after the level 30 will eventually reward you with sealed caches containing loot based on your gear score.”

It’s good to see that Ubisoft is not giving up on The Division. The game is fun and has its moments, and with the latest update, it might just return to form in a big way.
