Top 10 Video Games We Probably Won’t See At E3 2017

Now we’ve discussed the games that we really want to see this year at E3 2017, and we tried to keep our expectations tempered. But if we were to let our wishful thinking free, then we would also want to see the following games, but probably won’t. So here are the top 10 video games we probably won’t see at E3 2017.

Elder Scrolls 6

With the massive success that Skyrim was, it wouldn’t be too far fetched to think that Bethesda will put out another one soon. However, with how strongly they are supporting Elder Scrolls Online, and adding huge expansions regularly, it’s hard to imagine them cannibalizing their own game. Though, if they do decide to put out a new Elder Scrolls game, I’d love to see Valenwood.

Far Cry 5

Ubisoft has its hands full these days. What with For Honor, Ghost Recon Wildlands, gearing up for year two of The Division and Rainbow Six Siege, and possibly announcing Assassin’s Creed Empire, it’s hard to imagine them being able to put out another open world game. Also with how much both Horizon Zero Dawn and Breath Of The Wild have improved upon the open world formula, it’ll be a bad idea to put out a generic or re-skinned Far Cry out in the market.

New Splinter Cell Game

I know that it has been a while since Sam Fisher came out of retirement, but with no news at all about a splinter Cell game, and given how leaky the ship over at Ubisoft is, we probably are not going to see anew Splinter Cell game. Though, I am ready for another one of those, maybe even something along the lines of the new Hitman game.

Halo 6

Even though Microsoft will be pushing the Xbox Scorpio over the next few months, it’s unlikely to have a new mainline Halo title ready this soon. Unless they do a spin-off like Halo: Reach or Halo ODST, or remake one of the older games for the Scorpio, I wouldn’t expect to see Halo 6 until later next year.

New Tony Hawk Skate

Given how bad the last game in the series was, and the fan backlash, it’s unlikely that we’ll see a new Skate game at this E3. However, there are rumors of Tony Hawk doing a new game independently, but so very little (almost nothing) is know of it as of now that it’s hard to speculate.

Bloodborne 2

Much as I want to see another Bloodborne, Miyazaki and his team at From Software seem to be done with SoulsBorne for now. Maybe after a few years, and fresh new IPs they will deem it worthy to return to Yarnham.

Grand Theft Auto 6

With Red Dead Redemption 2 on the horizon, and GTA 5 still making them a ton of cash, there’s no way we’re seeing a new Grand Theft Auto game anytime soon. Though when Rockstar does decide to make another GTA game, I can’t wait to see what new innovations they bring to their modern day sandbox.

The Holy Trinity

Left For Dead 3, Portal 3 and Half Life 3. Do I even need to say anything? Please Gaben, look upon us with mercy.

  1. So first off, i don’t think we will ever see the Holy Trinity like ever. GTA 6 – that’s still got a long way to go with Rockstar still working on RDR2. Splinter Cell would have to bring something really radical to grab attention amidst the AAA games being showcased. Far Cry 5 – I’d rather not see another Far Cry game till Ubisoft decides to change things about – drastically. I’ll miss Elder Scrolls and Bloodborne though.

    • But Splinter Cell is something I haven’t though of in a good long time. If they bring it back, I hope it’s as good as Chaos Theory was.
