Xbox Pokes Fun At Sony For Using Doctored Footage of Anthem

It seems like the console wars are on again and any misstep would cost a lot. Recently both Xbox and PlayStation had hosted a video of Anthem which is Bioware’s new IP on their YouTube channel. But Sony immediately removed the video from their channel, later it was found that they had used doctored footage from Xbox One X and changed the Xbox buttons prompts to PlayStation button prompts. Due to this mishap the marketing manager of Xbox, Aaron Greenberg, has tweeted-   Oops! ? https://t.co/RM89njbD8M — ✖️Aaron Greenberg✖️ (@aarongreenberg) July 3, 2017 The Marketing Manager is having fun with this story but on the other side there was no comment from Sony’s side, but it is clear that they might not be having fun with the story. Scalebound: The Game That Was Killed by Hype

Platinum Games’ Scalebound was a game that a lot of people were looking forward to, especially considering it was going to be an Xbox exclusive and Platinum Games’ first action-adventure game.  Sadly a delay, it was announced that Scalebound was canceled at the start of 2017.   Phil Spencer, aside from mentioning that the game’s cancellation “hurt him” like it did the fans, states he shared the same disappointment fans felt after the decision was made during an interview with Japanese gaming site GameWatch. He believes that the game was announced too soon which put a lot of pressure on the developers which acted detrimentally. The hype was so much that they felt they couldn’t deliver to what the fans expected and hence they decided to shut down the proje...

Sony blocking Cross-Play for Profit?

With recent announcements that Minecraft will allow cross-play between all the platforms and Rocket League for the Switch also announcing that it’ll feature cross-play, Sony has made a strange decision and have blocked cross-play on their platforms. The reasoning behind this decision is very weak and quite frankly, not a smart one but what do we “players” know. In an interview with Eurogamer, PlayStation global sales and marketing head Jim Ryan had this to say, “We’ve got to be mindful of our responsibility to our install base”, he says. “Minecraft – the demographic playing that, you know as well as I do, it’s all ages but it’s also very young. We have a contract with the people who go online with us, that we look after them and they are within the PlayStation...
