Assassin’s Creed Unity Poster at E3 Portray 4 Characters

A huge ass Assassin’s Creed poster covers one of the walls of the Los Angeles Convention Center–the site of next week’s E3— and it shows what seems to us to be four different assassins. We also see the tall tower from the game’s teaser trailer. What does this mean then? A report from a while back suggested that Assassin’s Creed Unity would feature four-player co-op. And another report that mentioned Assassin’s Creed Unity would have a co-op mode and that it would be revealed at E3. Assassin’s Creed Unity launches this holiday season for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In addition to Assassin’s Creed Unity, Ubisoft is rumored to be working on another Assassin’s Creed game, subtitled Comet, for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This game ...

Title for “Best-Selling New Franchise” goes to Watch Dogs

Many saw this coming and they were right as Ubisoft worked out the numbers and announced that their latest title set a record for the best new franchise launch in history with 4 million in sell-through in week one. And it goes without saying that Watch Dogs is Ubisoft’s best selling launch ever which increases the chances of a sequel. “With such strong sales momentum and positive feedback from gamers, Watch Dogs has positioned itself as the must-have game of the moment” said Ubisoft’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Tony Key. “We’re really proud of this achievement, and are confident that the Watch Dogs brand has a promising future.”   In hindsight, Ubisofts delay with Watch Dogs was perhaps a good decision, as it’s good news not only for Ubisoft but for the indust...

Bollywood movie blatantly copying Watch Dogs?

As much as we Indians don’t like to hear this, but its nothing shocking when we see Bollywood copying certain ideas, themes etc from the western world and incorporating it into their films. Its just that sometimes its done subtly and other times its not even made to look like an original idea. There are many debates and controversies when it comes to topics like this, but of late we’ve seen that a new Bollywood movie, 18.11 is quite evidently copying the Watch Dogs poster. The trailer above doesn’t really look like the game at all (I bet they wished it did!) but that whole idea of an “extraordinary software,” can’t help but bring that notion of hacking which is quite central to Watch Dogs’ theme.

Assassin’s Creed Unity, which is set to come out on the Xbox One and PS4 and PC sometime later this year is expected to include a cooperative mode for up to four players according to a report. This information was given by tweets sent out by former NeGAF poster shinobi602, who showed that two demos for Unity are planned for E3 in June. One of those demos is to portray the same single player mode while the other is going to bring light to a whole new four player co-op mode. The Division dev think delaying Watch Dogs was a smart move

Primary studio in charge of the highly anticipated PS4 and Xbox One shooter The Division, Ubisoft studio has tagged the decision to delay the release of Watch Dogs to May 2014 as a “tremendously important” one. “It’s tremendously important for us as a developer studio, to know that the owner and the publisher are ready to take that hit, and [delaying Watch Dogs] ] was a massive hit. I think their shares fell 25 per cent on the day it was announced it was being delayed,” said Massive Entertainment boss David Polfeldt to Examiner. “It takes so much courage to live through that day and still think that was a good decision. So for us in the development , that’s an important message that ultimately the management will back up the goals that we have, whi...
