Revolution & Aristocracy Focal Points of New Assassin’s Creed Unity Trailer

Ubisoft has recently put together a new  gameplay trailer for its upcoming free-running game, Assassin’s Creed Unity. The trailer portrays several assassinations in 18th-century Paris, and also shows the army of the French monarchy. The video is accompanied by narration, which probably is of the main character Arno. He describes his motives and intentions behind joining the cause of the infamous French Revolution. In the game you will be playing as Arno in Unity, leading rebels in their fight against the French elite and their struggle to establish a republic. “For centuries my countrymen have suffered under the ignorant and decadent aristocracy,” the man says. “So I will wage my silent war in the shadows; the time has come for revolution, for those to unite and mak...

Ubisoft said that it’s open-world racing game The Crew will get free content updates after its launched. “One of the things that I really want to do is to keep providing people with content after launch,” The Crew Creative Director Julian Gerighty said in a video interview posted to Ubisoft’s YouTube channel. “Free Content just to keep people engaged in the game. The Crew lets you drive coast-to-coast across America, supposedly with no loading screens. You’ll be able to drive by familiar locations like Mount Rushm...

Ubisoft on Half LIfe 3– “No Idea When it Will Be Out”

Let us take a moment to commend those Half Life 3 supporters that have literally had to wait a lifetime and probably more at this rate. They just don’t seem to want to give up at all–even though chances are that the game may not even come out in their lifetime. Some supporters took to the official Watch Dogs Facebook page asking when Half Life 3 will be out….no seriously, they did! It does sound pretty funny but you can feel for those guys who want nothing more than a few answers. I mean it has been quite a while, and now Ubisoft is part-taking in the fun by simply replying “we have no idea when Half Life 3 will be out. If you find out, let us know.” Really loved how they’ve taken everything in their stride! What do you’ll think is the future to this game, wil...

Ubisoft to make more Open-World Games because they feel “gamers want more freedom”

In a recent interview, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told why the Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry publisher is working on more open-world games. Guillemot says that games like Watch Dogs, The Crew, Far Cry 4 or The Division do appeal to gamers much more allow a certain level of freedom among players because they allow players a more free-form experience instead of a linear and directed one. “We think that gamers want more freedom,” Guillemot said. “They also want games that they can play for quite a while, because there are less games now. The open-world genre gives us the possibility to offer different gamers different types of experiences. We think they are better adapted to the diversity of gamers that are in the market at the moment.”   Guillemot went on to say t...

Assassin’s Creed Unity with 4 women would have been awesome says former ASC game designer

Patrice Desilets, former Assassin’s Creed game designer quite firmly believes that Ubisoft should have invested the time and effort to give players the choice to play as a woman in Assassin’s Creed Unity, an aspect that Ubisoft opted out of due to “the reality of production.” At E3 this week, Unity creative director Alex Amancio told why the cooperative multiplayer game features four versions of protagonist Arno and why the developer excluded the option to play as a female assassin. “It’s double the animations, it’s double the voices, all that stuff and double the visual assets,” Amancio said. “Especially because we have customizable assassins. It was really a lot of extra production work.” Desilets in an interview told Polygon th...

You can ride Elephants in Far Cry 4

Much like its predecessors, Far Cry 4 will allow you to do your killing in the same quiet and stealthy fashion. But we can see many gamers opting out of that when you can ride an elephant. It really doesn’t get much cooler than that! You can pretty much smash through gates and take aim at helpless enemies with your shotgun.   The video below from PlayStation Access will show you two very different approaches to getting through a certain section of the upcoming open-world FPS. Crossbows are like the bare minimum you need to do to get through, but getting all king-of-the-jungle on rather shocked enemies…that pretty fun too!
