Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 owners were dealt with the biggest blow to date. Just days ago, Ubisoft Games announced that they are done developing games for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. Several outlets have reported the news, including Forbes. Ubisoft will be releasing all of their games, including the critically acclaimed Assassin’s Creed series exclusively for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The only game that Ubisoft will develop for the last generation consoles is the Just Dance series. What that means for owners of the Xbox 360 and PS3 is that they will have to upgrade their gaming systems if they want the latest Assassin’s Creed game release. Ubisoft is also behind the “Far Cry”, “Watch Dogs” and “AC” series.

Ubisoft’s upcoming open world game has been delayed to early 2016. While delays are never welcomed, we hope this delay is so as to optimize the game and not be a half-baked game pushed for an early release (yes, we’re thinking Unity). Ubisoft has also said that another AAA title, as yet unnamed, and Rainbow Six: Siege will also be released in the same time frame. Also, in a recent reveal Ubisoft has given out details about Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. What are your thoughts on these upcoming Ubisoft games?

Seeing Ubisoft’s lacklustre delivery with Unity, it’s easy to be sceptical of another release in the series without even a year’s delay. Some details have already been leaked with an official reveal by Ubisoft coming tomorrow, the 12th of May. Assassin’s Creed Victory, now also being called Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, is set in 19th century London, during the Victorian era, with an as-of-yet unnamed male protagonist. While there are many speculations about what Ubisoft will do with this latest entry, here’s a list of what we expect from this amazing franchise- 1. Culturally and Historically Rich and Diverse: While Assassin’s Creed 3 was rich with historic events and figures, it wasn’t always visible in the world around. What we hope to see is...
Ubisoft is getting ready show off this year’s Assassin’s Creed game next week. The reveal is scheduled for May 12 at 9 a.m. Pacific / 12 p.m. Eastern. It just so happens that Ubisoft will also be sharing its earnings report for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2015. We expect that the reveal will take place either immediately before or after the call. In December, Ubisoft confirmed a game in development called Assassin’s Creed Victory set in Victorian England. The confirmation came after a leak of screenshot and video assets that were also confirmed to be authentic.
Far Cry 4 developer Ubisoft Montreal has come out with a new campaign to support relief efforts in Nepal. A few days ago, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country, taking the lives of thousands and leaving many more injured as a result of the calamity. Ubisoft at the moment is asking for donations as part of the Nepal Region Earthquake Fund, which is managed by the Canadian Red Cross. The developer had a close connection to Nepal, as the company researched the country, its culture and its people as part of the work that went into making Far Cry 4. The game is set in the fictional Himalayan region of Kyrat. “Having spent the last few years working on Far Cry 4, a game heavily inspired by Nepal and its people, it is with heavy hearts that the Far Cry family pulls together t...
Far Cry 4’s Valley of The Yetis expansion is out now across console and PC platforms. This DLC sees players taking on the horrifying mythical beasts. Following a crash-landing in the Himalayas, players are left stranded and must capture a camp and guard it from “a mysterious cult who will return to reclaim their encampment.” But it’s not just the cult players have to worry about. Amongst some of the challenges you need to face, you’ll find Yetis (the mythological creatures said to inhabit the Himalayan mountains) lurking in the shadows ready to cause damage and destruction. Ubisoft have made the Yeti look like what one would imagine– massive, fierce-looking beasts capable of causing much death and destruction. Far Cry 4 came out last year in November and has ...
