No Ryzen Drivers for Windows 7, AMD Confirms

Looks like the glorious days of Windows 7 are about to get over. AMD has confirmed that their upcoming Ryzen processors will not get drivers for Windows 7. Earlier, the company had said they working on Windows 7 support for the AM4 socket chip, but now they’re only going to support Windows 10. Speaking to PCWorld, they said, “To achieve the highest confidence in the performance of our AMD Ryzen desktop processors (formerly codenamed ‘Summit Ridge’), AMD validated them across two different OS generations, Windows 7 and 10.
