Skyrim VR – Review

Skyrim is a game that like it’s predecessors is known for its fantastic open-world, quests and is remembered as an overall fantastic game. Originally, Skyrim was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC with visuals that when compared to Oblivion seemed so realistic. Players put in a lot of hours playing as the Dragonborn to bring an end to all of Skyrim’s voes by fighting Dragons and ending a Civil War that had caused so much bloodshed. Five years after the release of the original game, they announced that Skyrim would be releasing for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and PC with updated visuals and all the DLC and would be known as Skyrim Special Edition. People now got another excuse to play as the Dovahkiin. This move had a lot of mixed reception as people were really expecting a ...

The Martian VR Experience Coming To PSVR and HTC Vive

Virtual Reality is the order of the day, and with VR headsets becoming widely available (and popular), we might get to see a lot in the VR department apart from games. A tie-in project featuring The Martian (the one with Matt Damon), will have a VR experience based on the movie, releasing for the HTC Vive and the PlayStation VR. The Martian VR Experience is produced by Scott Ridley (director of the movie) and directed by Maleficent’s Robert Stromberg. It lets you play as Mark Watney (the protagonist) during specific scenes of the movie, including the ones which feature driving the Mars Rover and flying around in zero gravity. An early version of the experience was featured at CES this year, and later at the Sundance Film Festival as well. The Martian VR Experience will cost about USD...

PS4.5 Coming Before The PSVR Itself?

Few days back there was a rumor suggesting a new and upgraded PlayStation 4 in works, today the news is kind of confirmed and we might see a new “PS4.5” well before the launch of PSVR in October. This latest report comes from The Wall Street Journal. According to them, Sony would announce its upgraded console before October but we are still unfamiliar at this point if whether or not it will be presented to all of us this E3. While there are some reports which claim Sony aiming at 4K gaming with this new console, Digital Foundry spoke with its own sources and came to the conclusion that this is pretty unlikely for Sony to do so, which makes sense given that even high-end gaming PCs today struggle at Ultra-HD resolutions. However if the report of The Wall Street Journal is precise then we co...

According to Nikkei, Sony Computer Entertainment executive vice president Masayasu Ito told the Japanese publication that the company is thinking of making the PS VR headset, which is coming out this October, compatible with the PC’s later in its lifespan. Currently the PlayStation VR requires a PlayStation 4 to operate, while the console shares similar “internal parts” to a PC, Ito said, according to a translation by Reddit user named MSDefenseForce. The headset will be released in October 2016 for $399, €399, £349 and 44,980 yen.
