Amkette all set to launch a gaming device priced below Rs10,000

Homegrown technology firm Amkette is planning to launch a gaming product, priced below Rs.10,000 by the end of the year to tap the burgeoning multi-crore gaming industry in the country. Amkette expects to sell over 20,000 units of the Android-based device, which will compete with the likes of Microsoft Corp.’s XBox and Sony Corp.’s Playstation, in this fiscal year alone. “We are exploring newer variations (to Evo TV), particularly in the gaming segment. The new product will be employing high-end processors with 3D graphics capability to provide a powerful gaming platform on TV,” Amkette director Rajiv K. Bapna told PTI. So there is a rumor going around in the twittersphere about the way The Order: 1886 is being privately defined in a rather interesting way: The Order is being described privately jokingly as Sony’s first Naughty Dog game. Take that for whatever it means graphically.   Whatever comes from “insider” isn’t usually the way it seems and is always something else to it, but it’s actually pretty easy to understand. PS Games to potentially stream to PC’s, TV’s and Phones

PlayStation games may one day stream directly to PC’s Smart TV’s and even smartphones. Once this phenomenon becomes reality, PlayStation will be seen as more of a service rather than just a mere line of consoles. SCE Worldwide Studios head, Shuhei Yoshida said that the rollout of Gaikai’s cloud services on PlayStation 4 next year is only the start of what the company hopes to achieve, in an interview with Dengeki Online. “Speaking of the ultimate goal, we would like to deliver PlayStation games to all devices,” he said. “So we’re considering various things like PC, TVs, Blu-ray players, smartphones and tablets. Battlefield 3 subscribers zooms past 4 million

EA has taken a huge leap forward with its subscribers reaching milestones for both its Battlefield 3 Premium service and its digital distribution platform, Origin. Battlefield 3 Premium subscribers have zoomed past four million in total, up from the 2.9 million subscribers reported in January. As of January, EA secured $108 million in revenue from the shooter’s content service, though no update on that figure is available in the latest financial report. Over 50 million users have registered accounts on Origin, an increase of over 20 million users since October of last year. Battlefield 4 Screenshots Leaked

Images reportedly showing off an alpha build of Battlefield 4 have leaked on site NSS. The images reveal loadouts, a map, menus and what’s clearly some very early in-game screenshots. This huge leak shows off Battlefield 4 screenshots of the menu, guns, dog tags, achievements, the new integrated social network, homescreen, weapons and its costumization and tons of in-game screenshots. Battlefield 4 will be available on the new generation and old generation consoles late October 2013. We are expecting to see more of the upcoming FPS from EA at E3 2013.
