Free Games For PS Plus Subscribers in December

Following a tease earlier this month, Sony has officially announced all of the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games that will be free for PS Plus subscribers in December. Sony writes on the PlayStation blog “The weather is getting colder, which means two things: 1) It’s time for delicious food and 2) it’s time to hibernate with video game”   The games listen below will be free for PS Plus members starting from the 2nd of December. PS4 – Injustice: Gods Among Us – Secret Ponchos PS3 – Hitman HD Trilogy – Deadly Premonition: Dirctor’s Cut PlayStation Vita – Final Horizon PS4/PS3/PS Vita – Titan Attacks  

PlayStation 4 to get over 100 games in 2014

Sony recently published a master list of the 100+ PlayStation 4 games that will be available on the platform by the end of the year. The list includes previously released titles like Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Thief, as well as much-anticipated upcoming games like Batman Arkham Knight and Assassin’s Creed Unity. The list also does not include this year’s Call of Duty title from Sledgehammer Games, but that’s probably because Activision has yet to announce platforms for the new game. Witcher 3 release date pushed to early 2015

One of the most anticipated role-playing games The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been delayed from fall 2014 to February 2015. CD Projekt Red management announced this in an open letter to fans. The studio comments that though The Witcher 3 was slated for this fall  for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, but explained that the extra few months of development time should allow the game to achieve a level of quality that will set it apart from other role-playing games. Battlefield 4 players all set to get double XP from DICE

Here is some fantastic news for all the Battlefield 4 players, since the worldwide release was not without technical glitches, so players will be happy to learn DICE is attempting to make good on those issues by offering double XP. From November 28-December 5, players across all platforms will earn double XP in every multiplayer match they complete, DICE announced today. “We understand that the launch issues may have impacted your progression, and we want to do everything we can to help you get back the XP that you may have lost,” DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson said. 3D Blu-Rays not supported by PS4 at launch

As strange as this sounds, the PS4 is most like to not support playback of 3D Blu-rays, according to the online user guide (spotted by TheSixthAxis). Even though DVDs and Blu-rays are fully supported and CD support is to be put into the system, the “Playing video on disc” section of the User Guide says that 3D Blu-rays are not supported. Weirdly enough, the PS3 plays 3D Blu-rays without any issues, which makes this even more strange. Sony has left 3D by the wayside in the past two years, having attempted to push it hard in the middle years of PS3’s lifespan. This would appear to be another nail in its coffin. At last, a new trailer gives a close-up look at all the fancy tech and effects in the open-world murder simulator’s posh versions, for people who like gawping at render passes. The list of pretty includes dynamic foliage, rolling seas and extra-pretty shallow waters, a weather system with oodles of rain particles and shiny dynamic rippling wetness, and global illumination. All versions have similar effects of course, and some like the dynamic navmesh for boarding ships are downright crucial, but they’re all next-gen on next-gen systems, see. PlayStation 4 Hardware Specs

Coming in a hundred dollars cheaper than the Xbox One, the PS4 gives Microsoft stiff competition in the gaming industry. Sony has said that the PS4 will be powered by a custom 8-core AMD  “Jaguar” x86-64 with integrated graphics APU and “next-generation” AMD Radeon graphics processor capable of driving 1.84 teraflops. It also comes packed with a 8GB GDDR5 memory, which makes it competitive with most PC focused games available in the market. The PS4, not surprisingly, come with a Blu-ray drive, built-in 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, with a HDMI, Analog-AV, and optical digital output. Xbox One takes a U-Turn

Microsoft has budged to the demands of gamers and the negative press finally!!! Microsoft has changed its policies regarding Xbox One’s internet requirements, used game restrictions and more. Contrary to the details announced earlier this month, Microsoft has now confirmed news originally reported on Giant Bomb that Xbox One will not require an internet connection to play offline games or need to check in every 24 hours; instead, internet will only be required when initially setting up the console. “After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again,” Microsoft wrote. “There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360....
