Best Gaming Laptops Under Rs. 50,000 In India

It’s hard to believe how technology has evolved over the years. I can still remember the first time I saw a laptop, it was one of those black IBM laptops with the red button in the middle of the keyboard with which you controlled the mouse. I think that was around 1998-2000 sometime when my mum brought one of those ancient things from work and back then it was probably one of the best pieces of machinery you could get your hands on. Fast forward about 15 years and here we are now, concepts like VR are on the verge of becoming mainstream, 3D printers already finding it’s place in office spaces and Donald Trump being elected as the 45th President of America, it’s hard to believe how so much has changed in so little time. Now days what you can do on laptops people might not ...

Dorm Room Chronicles – JECRC

We’ve been working on a campaign called Gamer Rebellion where we showcase high end gaming PC’s in premier colleges across Delhi and Jaipur. I took this opportunity to meet with the students that reside in the hostels of these colleges and get an insight into what the gaming scene is like in these hostels. We’ve all had great memories from our college days and I just wanted these guys to be able to share their stories on our platform. A rebellion is brewing at #NSIT today at 3. Gamer Rebellion — Indraprastha University

The Gaming Central team just got back from the second Gamer Rebellion at Indraprastha University, Dwarka and it was pretty damn good. First off a shout out to all the guys and three girls who made it to the event. It was great meeting all these students who were extremely helpful and way too polite (they kept calling me sir!). Gurnoor and I started the show with our lame jokes and constant fumbling up of words, but the students seemed to have a blast though. We had presentations by Shrey and Manas about AMD, G2A and Gaming Central. After which we did an interactive quiz with the attendees and gave away some goodies. We also had Nishant with us (the guy who won a RX 480 at it’s launch) and we presented him with his brand new RX 480. After that we opened the floor for the students to e...

ZION Xtreme DDR4 RAM Review

Rapid development in CPU technology has caused a ripple effect, demanding a similar push for development of better optimized and compatible products.  With RAM becoming cheaper and cheaper by the day, DDR4 RAM has become very popular in the past year. Recently, ZION released its Xtreme DDR4 2133MHz RAM and we couldn’t wait to check it out. Like its previous counterparts, the DDR4 RAM maintains a similar design featuring their brand’s bold red colour, though we feel that the older DDR3 models looked slightly better. These RAM sticks come with inbuilt heat sinks for more efficient cooling. The RAM is clocked at 2133 MHz. An AIDA64 test was carried out to see the memory read, write and copy speeds for the RAM and the numbers were pretty impressive, with all the values greater than...

New Update For DOOM Adds Vulkan Support

id Software has announced the availability for the Vulkan™ version of DOOM that relies on innovative features to deliver incredible performance. As you may already know, the Vulkan™ API is a descendant of AMD’s Mantle that supports close-to-metal control across Windows® 7, Windows® 8.1, Windows® 10, and Linux®. Compared to OpenGL, Vulkan™ substantially reduces “API overhead” – the background work a CPU does to interpret what a game asks of the hardware – to deliver meaningful features, performance, and image quality and expose GPU hardware features that wouldn’t ordinarily be accessible through OpenGL. DOOM benefits from Vulkan support by using several great features: Asynchronous Shaders Shader Intrinsics or Shader Intrinsic Functions Frame Flip Optimizations Here are a couple of performa...
