The trailer also shows off Allen Iverson going against Steph Curry and Hill. As it is an officially licensed game, the game also has featured every NBA team in NBA Playgrounds, and the roster of current and retired players can be leveled up. And remember those ‘fly-to-the sky and dunk’ move, yup, its got that too. Matt Karch, CEO of Saber Interactive (developers of the game) has said its accessible enough for anyone to pick up and play, but it still has “a lot of depth for hardcore pros who’ve mastered their game” The game comes out next month as a digital download for...

Nintendo: Switch is Not a Replacement for the 3DS

In a recent interview, Reggie Fils-Amie, President of Nintendo of America stated that Nintendo considers the Switch as a home console first, and it is not meant to replace the existing 3DS handheld console. Talking to Wired, he said, “I think there’s a sense that Nintendo Switch is a portable device. It is portable. But at its heart, it’s a home console that you can take with you on the go.” He was responding to the question regarding what the release of the new hybrid console meant for the 3DS. He said that Nintendo had managed two different systems before, and the introduction of the new one doesn’t mean that the older one will become obsolete. He goes on to say, “3DS has a long life in front of it. We’ve already announced games that will be laun...

I Want A Nintendo Switch, And Here’s Why You Should Too

Here’s the thing. The Nintendo Switch reveal event wasn’t exactly the best event I’ve seen, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the console will be bad. There are a lot of things that the Switch has going for it, and it’s definitely worth a second look. The ever-so quirky gimmick Nintendo has always been that quirky little kid that likes to do its own thing. It doesn’t care about what its competitors are doing, and it doesn’t try to beat them at what they do. Instead, our weird friend tries to do something different every time, and no matter how good or bad it may turn out, one can’t help but wonder whether it’s trying too hard or that’s just the way it is. Nevertheless, these quirks are what make the Switch wonderful in my opi...

Nintendo Switch Might Not Get To See Mass Effect: Andromeda

Last year, EA had teased its Nintendo Switch plans by indicating that it will bring one of its biggest games to the upcoming home-cum-portable console. Much to everyone’s dismay, that game might not be Mass Effect: Andromeda. In an interview with Stevivor, Producer Mike Gamble said that Bioware doesn’t have any plans to bring Andromeda to the Nintendo Switch yet. If the people really want to see it, they will consider it. “Yeah, not right now, no,” he said when asked about Andromeda’s Switch version. “We’re not planning on it. If the Switch launches and everyone’s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows. We never want to close doors like that.” Earlier, Bioware had released Mass Effect 3 for the Wii U, but supposedly it did not fare w...

Ubisoft Working on a Rabbids & Mario Crossover for Switch Launch

Recently, it was confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will no longer be a Nintendo Switch launch title, and that the next Mario game might mark the release for Nintendo’s big device. It’s possible that we know what that game might be, after all. According to a report by LetsPlayVideoGames, the Switch will launch alongside a turn-based RPG which is possibly a Raving Rabbigs x Mario crossover, currently under development by Ubisoft. There is no official title yet, but the codename/working title for the game seems to be Mario RPG: Invasion of the Rabbids. The game is closely monitored by Nintendo to ensure that it’s ready by the launch day and adheres to the Mario maker’s specifications regarding the depiction of Mario characters and assets. The repor...

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Release Date Leaked?

Nintendo had recently confirmed that its upcoming addition to the Zelda franchise, Breath of the Wild has been delayed and will no longer be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch. Though no more details were given regarding the release date, it might have been (inadvertently) leaked when the game is coming out. Target’s website with a listing for the title now shows a release date for Breath of the Wild.  Considering that when retailers generally use the beginning or the end of a month as placeholders while listing products on the website, this might be pretty close to the actual release date. Coincidentally, June 13th is also the opening day for the E3 2017 conference. Looks like Nintendo’s planning a big surprise for all of us. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will ha...

Breath Of the Wild Delayed, Won’t Be A Nintendo Switch Launch Title

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo’s biggest upcoming title has been pushed further back, and will miss the launch date for the Nintendo Switch. According to Eurogamer, a new report which details the game’s current state of development, and which tallies with information provided to them by sources close to Nintendo, “four-to-six months of testing will follow” before the game launches. Breath of the Wild was first announced in 2013 and was set to launch for the Wii U in 2015, but since then has been delayed multiple times. It was supposed to be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch, but has been delayed again. One of the main reasons for the game’s delay has to do with localisation. Given its scope, it has been difficult for Nintendo to localize all ...
