FNAF 4 Gets a New Trailer, Release Date and Expansion

Scott Cawthorn announced the fourth Five Nights at Freddy’s game to YouTuber Dawko, who promptly leaked it on Reddit. In the e-mail (pictured below), Scott said that he planned to release the game on August 8th, the one year anniversary of the original FNAF and will have a free update with extra content on October 31st (Halloween)   For more gaming news and reviews, stay tuned to Gaming Central  

Battlecry beta sign-ups are now open

Bethesda announced at its E3 press conference tonight that Battlecry, a new game from the aptly named Battlecry Studios, is now accepting sign-ups for its upcoming beta. Battlecry is an online action game that had the unfortunate privilege of having to follow Bethesda’s presentation for the new Doom. It’s a team-based PvP game where you fight with one of three factions. The Imperial Marines, the Cossack Empire, and the Han Republic. To sign-up you can head over to Battlecrythegame.com

New Assassin’s Creed Game To Be Shared On May 12

Ubisoft is getting ready show off this year’s Assassin’s Creed game next week. The reveal is scheduled for May 12 at 9 a.m. Pacific / 12 p.m. Eastern. It just so happens that Ubisoft will also be sharing its earnings report for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2015. We expect that the reveal will take place either immediately before or after the call. In December, Ubisoft confirmed a game in development called Assassin’s Creed Victory set in Victorian England. The confirmation came after a leak of screenshot and video assets that were also confirmed to be authentic.  

Batman: Arkham Universe book gets release date

Like a lot of you guys, we are crazy Bat Fanatics 🙂 So here is some crazy news for all of you. It looks like another book based on the Arkham videogames will be released this year. According to Amazon’s listing, DK is going to publish Batman: Arkham Universe: The Ultimate Visual Guide, which has an ISBN-10 of 1465428275 in addition to an ISBN-13 of 978-1465428271. Preorder the visual guide with this link. The hardcover book has 200 pages and will provide details on the characters, equipment, gadgets, locations, storylines and weapons from the videogames. Apple buys Beats Music for $3 Billion

Apple’s acquisition of Beats Music and Beats Electronics for $3 billion is one of the largest  ever in the technology sector.  Beats is about to get a big injection of steroids from Apple. Eddy Cue, Apple’s head of iTunes, and Beats co-founder Jimmy Iovine, talked about the reasoning behind Apple’s plan to buy Beats and gave hints about what the two companies could do together. “It’s about music,” Cue said. “Music is something that is really important to culture. It’s important to everyone in the world. Everyone loves music. Consumers Spent $3.45 Billion On Video Games Last Quarter

Whoa! Research Shows $3.45 Billion Spent On Video Game Content In The U.S. During The Third Quarter Of 2013, A 17 Percent Increase Over Same Time Period Last Year According to a recent report from the NPD group, U.S. consumers spent 3.45 billion dollars last quarter on video game content — up 17 percent from the same quarter in 2012. Leading the charge was Grand Theft Auto 5, which shattered all single-day sales records with an $800 million dollar opening. Additionally, the report stated that physical game software accounted for $1.30 billion, while another $1.75 billion was spent on digital content (DLC, subscriptions, social, mobile, and full digital purchases). Valve develops its own Game Controller too

Yesterday morning, Valve revealed the first steps of its plan to marry the new SteamOS to custom hardware. According to the Steam Machines Beta Test Agreement, Valve has developed a game controller. Speculation has been abundant about the third of Valve’s announcements, which is scheduled for reveal on Friday at 1 PM Eastern. “Valve Corporation (“Valve”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”) has developed and produced prototypes of entertainment system hardware and software, including a set-top box running custom software and a game controller (collectively: “Beta Products”),” the agreement states. World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition Beta Is Live, Wargaming had started taking beta applications for the new Xbox 360 edition of World of Tanks back in mid-June. Nvidia Shield takes a price drop

Nvidia has responded to consumer concerns over the price of its Android-based handheld, dropping the price this morning. Additionally, the company has announced that it will start shipping the units next week. Nvidia was coming to market with its Tegra 4-powered handheld at a price of $349 but  now the price has come down to $299. We expect that the price of the PlayStation 4 ($399) may have resulted in the rethink. It’s not hard to get excited by Project Shield’s feature set, but if you’re not familiar with Nvidia’s Project Shield, it’s an Android-driven mobile device that comes attached to a controller.
