Mortal Kombat X Will Come To Mobile Devices

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm announced yesterday that a mobile version of the upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat X is in the making. A free-to-play game, Mortal Kombat X for mobile devices is described as a fighting game/card-battler hybrid that “delivers the next evolution in mobile games.” The game is simply titled Mortal Kombat X and is developed by NetherRealm Studios, which is the same team behind the upcoming console and PC game. It is to launch this April for iOS and Android devices along with the core title on the 14th of April. Mortal Kombat X Character Revealed

Last week the co creator of Mortal Kombat Ed Boon teased about a new character for April’s release Mortal Kombat X via twitter. And we got the news that yesterday Warner Bros. and developer NetherRealms Studios announced that Reptile has joined the roster for upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat X.   In this Reptile vs. Kung Lao battle you can see Reptile making his comeback with his signature tongue and venom attacks which seem to be more powerful than ever. And there is a finishing move he pulls off in the end that I so badly want to tell you about but I won’t. The game launches April 14 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

Mortal Kombat X Developer To Get New Character?

The co creator of Mortal Kombat Ed Boon is teasing a new character for April’s release Mortal Kombat X which can also be revealed as early as next week. When he was asked on Twitter for information regarding when Boon would reveal the newest Mortal Kombat X character, he replied: “Next week is going to be a lot of fun!” Mortal Kombat fans could soon get insights into Mortal Kombat X’s story, as Boon said players can expect the next announcement about the game’s narrative “very soon.” Mortal Kombat X launches April 14 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC.

New Character For Mortal Combat X Revealed

The Mortal Kombat X team announced the newest addition to its character list in the form a brand new trailer: Quan Chi trailer.   Quan Chi has been a longtime villain in the franchise and made his debut in the animated series, Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm. He is a creature of the Netherrealm and will “play a major part in the story,” said executive producer Shaun Himmerick. Just like all the playable characters in the game, Quan Chi will come in three variations with slightly different powers. Mortal Kombat X: Raiden Reveal Trailer

NetherRealm Studios debuted the Raiden reveal trailer for Mortal Kombat X today at EVO 2014 and you can now watch it below! “Mortal Kombat” creator Ed Boon told IGN that Raiden will have three different variations – Displacer, Storm Lord, and the tentatively-titled Thunder God Raiden.     Displacer style is all about leveraging Raiden’s teleportation abilities. As Storm Lord Raiden, he can toss out little lightning bombs, and once two have been set, they form a stream of lighting between them, controlling large portions of space at a time. Thunder God Raiden is all about damage. He doesn’t have the utility of the other two, but looks to make up for it with a variety of powerful ways to finish combos. Mortal Kombat X Announced For 2015

Ed Boon, creative director of NetherRealm Studios and all round Twitter tease has confirmed that the next Mortal Kombat game will be called Mortal Kombat X. A trailer has also been released in which Sub Zero and Scorpion beat each other to death in a snowy scene, whilst Wiz Khalifa raps an track written exclusively for the game, entitled “Can’t Be Stopped.” Given the fact the game will be cross-generational, it seems likely that the below trailer isn’t made from gameplay footage, but so far both WB and NetherRealm have remained mum on exactly what it shows off. The fighter will be released for PS3, PS4, 360, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2015 check out the nifty trailer. We’ve captured some awesome moments from the trailer for you 🙂
