Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios released a new Mortal Kombat X gameplay video showing off series veteran, Raiden, as he pummels sun god, Kotal Kahn in a battle of epic proportions. Narrated by Mortal Kombat co-creator and NetherRealm Studios’ creative director Ed Boon, the new gameplay video guides players through Raiden’s character variations and play styles, each with their own offensive and defensive advantages. Ed Boon, creative director of NetherRealm Studios and all round Twitter tease has confirmed that the next Mortal Kombat game will be called Mortal Kombat X. A trailer has also been released in which Sub Zero and Scorpion beat each other to death in a snowy scene, whilst Wiz Khalifa raps an track written exclusively for the game, entitled “Can’t Be Stopped.” Given the fact the game will be cross-generational, it seems likely that the below trailer isn’t made from gameplay footage, but so far both WB and NetherRealm have remained mum on exactly what it shows off.
