Opera mini offers some of the major data savings with its data compression techniques, but it has also been criticized for the same as it sometimes completely destroys the layout of the website in the name of saving seemingly small amounts of data. The latest update for Opera Mini aims to address this problem with a new “high” compression setting. While that might still sound strong, the old compression option has been bumped up to the title of “Extreme”, so the new setting is toned down quite a bit. Most importantly, image sizes and layouts are regularly maintained and under this new option and you will even find that video playback is enabled.Opera says that the setting offers a “full web experience”, and the only customization option is an image quality setting. Though the data savings ar...
Adblock Plus is by far the most popular way to block advertisements on desktop, so it should be no surprise to see the service finally make its way to mobile devices. Adblock Browser for Android lets you browse the Internet more quickly without running into advertisements wherever you go.This new app claims to be able to load webpages much faster while also saving precious battery life and mobile data. Motorola is not going to slow down anytime soon, despite announcing its latest flagship, the Moto X Style (aka Moto X Pure) earlier this month and if we believe in the rumours, they point to two new Verizon Droids in the near future, a new tweet from @upleaks has now outed the Motorola Bounce as well. According to the leaks, the specs of the Moto bounce are as follows: Display: 5.45 -inch QHD display. Processor: Snapdragon 810. RAM: 3GB. Storage: 32 or 64GB. Camera: 21MP camera. Battery: 3760 mAh. The phone is going to offer a “shatterproof” design which means that it is going to have probably a MIL-STD rating. The rumor doesn’t mention it, but we wouldn’t be too shocked if it ends up with water/dust resistance as well, but at the very least it is probably splashproof. One question that com...
A new smartphone from LG passed through TENAA, which could be the anticipated second flagship that LG has planned for the second half of the year. Last week, LG’s Cho Juno confirmed that a new flagship would be unveiled sometime in Q4 2015 and reports from Korea suggest that October 10th could be the launch date. An LG official recently let the release date slip during a briefing about the company’s plans for the second half of the year. However, nothing else about the handset seems to have been mentioned. There’s nothing much about the next LG flagship, although the TENNA pictures suggest that the company’s laser auto focus technology may be heading to the phone’s front camera too. However, there was no stylus spotted in the TENAA images. There are chances that the phone may not be of...

Its very easy. This is simply a taste of what Marshmal...
We all are eagerly waiting for the upcoming nexus devices as the end of the year approaches.Google may have bunch of surprises for us? This year we are expecting two devices, one from Huawei and one from LG. If you are looking for a good image, today we are taking a look at the best one we have seen so far. The photo comes from Android Pit, a Germany-based website that seems to have some helpful sources in hand.Though the image may look like a render, it is not. The photo was straightened and the background was cleaned out, in order to protect the source. The only main difference is that the version AP has seen has the LG logo below the Nexus wording. But this could simply be due to regional differences. From the image we can see that nifty fingerprint reader, a laser auto-focus module, a d...
Instagram has always been the one of the easiest ways to share the photos to the world, but in the past that hasn’t come without its caveats. The Facebook-owned social networking platform has only ever allowed for the sharing of square photos, but that’s changing. In the new update rolling out on Android, Instagram will finally let you post full-size portrait and landscape photos. In fact, the Instagram team says that nearly one in every five photos posted to the site aren’t in the standard square format, which is why the company is changing its ways. After you receive the update, simply tap on the format icon to adjust the orientation to portrait or landscape instead of square. Your photo will show up in your feed in the orientation that you’ve chosen. But to keep your profile looking cle...

Back in April, a “clever” Google Map Maker user submitted an image of an Android logo urinating on an Apple logo to Google Maps, which forced Google to apologize for the inappropriate incident soon after. To ensure this kind of thing never happened again, Google shut down the Map Maker program in May so it could revamp the way users could submit their entries. As promised, Google then relaunched the service a few weeks ago, but only in a few select markets. Now the service is seeing a much wider expansion, as the United States, along with 44 other countries, are now able to make edits and submissions in Map Maker. Just like with the first wave of countries, Map Maker is a bit more closed off now. Every edit will need to be approved by a “regional lead”. As Google puts it, “[Regional Leads]...
